God, for me the sub commanders just get in the way and steal my resources! I only keep them around 'cause they look nice!
i think Zaphod got to 6-7 sub-commanders lol, galaxy warfare kinda needs to amp up the difficulty as it goes on and add more commander/pre-built enemy bases to deal with increasing tech and commies from us
My four were doing pretty well. They were a little slower to attack, but had a nice blob when they did. They often beat me to orbital, and at least once one of them defeated two enemy commanders by itself. Caveat: I believe this was on the lowest difficulty, so they had easier opponents.
When i want to be doing something else, I just move my commander to one of my sub commanders base, alt tab and come back later for the victory. =D =D
I'd like to thank @siefer101 for mentioning the idea of Sub commanders, i'm not sure if Uber thought of it first, but I remember a thread regarding sub commanders existing.
I'm sure balance will be achieved regarding the sub commanders, as yeah, you're a bit too strong dropping yourself and 3 others against 1 AI enemy, although when you have a two staged strategy like this, you being OP in specific battles DOES mean that you're playing the galactic strategy right. (See every Empire at War game everyone ever played)
Lucky. I went through an Uber sized Galactic War and I finished with only 5 tech slots. The randomness of the tech unlocks shouldn't be truly random. It needs to have some intelligence behind what techs are unlocked. There also needs to be balancing to the techs.
I once had 6 sub commanders.... when I got to a bose fight they only had 3 commanders... that is when it felt the most cheap xD
