Hello, i recently upgraded to a 4K monitor and cant seem to get past the initial menu screen of the game. Clicking on anything brings me to a black screen and no response from the game. Tried doing some searches and seems no one has had a similar problem. Any ideas?

If 4K is not supported now, is there plans in the pipeline for it to be?

Edit 1: For those not in the know 4K is 3840*2160

We have a number of people in the office with older Dell and Apple 30" monitors (2560 × 1600), some 15" MacBook Pros and I believe we have a near-4k monitor ordered, but we definitely haven't had a lot of very high resolution testing.

We have had a some users with multiple 30 monitors complain of similar issues which we will have to address eventually especially as 4k monitors went from being a distant pipe dream to a realistically purchasable monitor over the time we've been developing the game.

No worries, thanks for the response, i just wanted to make sure you guys knew it was a problem. If i can provide any test data for you guys don't hesitate to let me know.

    Have a good one :)

Edit 1: In the meantime, is there any way i can force a smaller windowed resolution so i can actually play the game on said monitor?

How many inch is that monitor of yours? if it aint larger then 32" then it's compleetly redundant in my honost opinion lol ^^ It compleetly strains your graphics card for no visual improvement.

PA uses the resolution of your desktop. So you can just tell windows to use some smaller resolution and PA will follow.

its 28 inch and if you think there is no visual improvement you need to sit in from of one and play something. It really is beautiful to game on. Best purchase I've made for a long time. Its not until you can sit in front of it and play some really visually stunning games that you can really appreciate it. Not gonna argue the point that it puts a lot of pressure my pc though.

What about 8K? (7680x4320 or 8,000 pixels) Future proofing.

I don't necessarily want to run the game at 4k resolution, but having the UI not be completely screwed in the lobby would be nice. As it is I have to un-maximize my window to do anything outside of a fight and then re-maximize when i go into a fight.

Giant pain in Galactic war as I can't see the upgrades i find unless i un-maximize.

I would also very much prefer that you return the resolution selection drop down instead of the using the resolution scaling dropdown.

We've never had a real resolution setting in PA, only resolution scaling of the 3d view, in part because we've never supported real full screen. I believe we will eventually be implementing real full screen because of issues the Mac and Linux have had running in the borderless windowed fullscreen.

Right now changing your desktop resolution or the game window is the only way to change the UI resolution.
