I found a way to get around this. Once you finish a battle, you will get a popup menu that shows your statistics.

Do not return to Galactic War through this menu!!!!

If you do, it leaves the game you just finished on-going and you will be connected to it still!

What you have to do, is press the button named 'Review Game'

Then press esc, and then click on return to galactic war through the little menu that shows up to the left. This will effectively end the game in victory, (or defeat) and you will correctly disconnect, and can start another battle without having to restart the entire game.

    Cheers

Am I the only one who has to restart after every game? Nomatter what happens after a match I will fail to join anything and have to restart, every time. Steam or launcher.

Just follow the instructions in the above post. It should take care of it for you.

Sorry, what I meant is even in multiplayer this happens to me, even before this update. This solution does work for GW though

Oh that's odd. Maybe the same method will work? I don't have any trouble with multiplayer. Are you playing multiplayer after galactic war?

It doesn't really matter how I do it, but it's not related to Galactic War as it's done it since I got the game a couple months ago. Just after I finish a game, I will fail to connect to every single lobby until I exit the game and start it up again

Ah shoot I wish I could help. I'm not sure what could be causing that. Maybe it could have something to do with port forwarding?

Doesn't work for me unfortunately. Not on multiplayer or single player.

Doesn't do it for me either.

At least the game is fast to restart.

It doesn't work for multiplayer anymore for me either. It does in galactic war though.

The summary screen also shows some AI statistics: energy/metal... I have good results by just waiting a few seconds, until all of these numbers drop to zero.
