This is a focused series of bug fixes for the client, server and other issues. We just want a few hours on PTE before we promote it to stable, as it's the start of a long weekend in the States. #trollmodeactivate Combat Fabbers are three times more efficient then regular fabbers, and twice as efficient as the commander. This, combined with their amazing range, leads to a unit that is better at: Building Assisting Repairing Moving Standing Still Than any other fabricator, including the commander. This means everyone with half a brain and 3rd grade math skills will use them over regular fabbers. Does this make gameplay different? YES! Does it make it more varied and better?? No! Everyone uses them as a constant strat. Not using them leads to your downfall if your opponent uses them. #trollmodedeactivate
Heh. That's a far cry from troll mode. Thanks for the detailed description. I hadn't looked at the numbers, so I wasn't sure if there was a bug, a balance issue, or what.
Thanks Cat.. After talking to William, we're gonna set this to Stable. We think it's still a significant improvement over stable, and we want to get everyone moved over to it.
cant select the European server. Only us and Aus. with the newest build. Only the PTE running on the Us "only" right?
On Linux, I don't have a cursor anymore (only after this was pushed to stable..the one before worked in that regard). But this build fixed my game often freezing my whole computer on startup (on linux..no problem on windows). Also, I can't get the game to go into fullscreen mode on startup anymore ever since the Galactic War Update. When i select it in the menu, it goes into fullscreen mode (or if I press the trusty alt+enter) but it seems that the setting isn't saved properly as it is always reset to windowed when I restart the game (again this only affects Linux not Windows).
I agree that the assist bot is to strong for its tech level but I rather see it moved to T2 then make it useless again That said I think the whole system the construction works is wrong. Fabricators /factory's should not have any modifier to the economics except for a build rate. (How much eco they stream). A unit should cost a fixed amount, not cost x with this fabber and cost y with that fabber ...
getting alot of failed to join game right now, infact can't join anything All mods disabled. Euwest server selected. The UI is very laggy when there are lots of units onscreen, just had a 10player ffa, the drag box to select the units was very unreliable.
