Rivalries, friends, pure enjoyment of the game? I am interested to know what keeps a steady amount of people keep playing this game well over three years after it was released as opposed to a new full retail release.
I keep playing this game because I like to shoot robots. If you shoot a lot of them, you get what is called 'Juice' i think it is called. With this 'Juice' activated you can kill many enemies. And guess what? You can even buy this juice for $500 at a machine! So you can kill even more people. I also like playing as the bald black man who can jump up and down. Here's a cool trick, press X on your controller and you will throw a bomb. If you wait for someone to walk over it, blow it up and you might just get a kill with it! I really enjoy playing the Italian man with shotgun class, I think he is called 'Medic'. If you pull right trigger, you will heal your team mates and guess what? Pull the left trigger and you can hurt the enemy players! With the same weapon!
You must be playing on tactical layout. Try this then Leo, press B on your controller. If timed right, you will 'charge' at an enemy. Don't do anything else, don't shoot bullets, just walk up to enemies and press charge (best done with charge 4 which adds a grapple to the charge) Trust me I got a kill from it, i died 18 times trying, but it was worth it. After this, press right on d-pad and A, this will tell the enemy how much you love what they do or the degree of how large the steps that you take in relation to them standing aside. Hope this helps anyone learning how to play Tuesday Noon Conflict (TNC)
I heard if you say your prayers each night and wear a rabbits foot around your neck you might just be able to grapple someone with an invisible firebase
I keep playing because i enjoy playing with the people I've meet on the game and play other games with them as well.
Some people get mad and send angry messages when you kill and taunt them. I tell them that taunting gives you money if you taunt after a kill. it isn't trolling.
Yeah, I do it in Street Fighter 4 and there is no excuse there, well, even then sometimes strategically because they immediately try to react to the recovery time but if they are low health and you arent and you option-select-crouch-block-grapple-tech, then you taunt their wakeup, their hasty reaction is your win. I won't lie though, I sometimes taunt excessively. In MNC, I must taunt twice or more in order to show my malice, because there is a chance they may believe I just needed the money, which isn't the case, I just like to have my fun. Besides, even in that scenario, it is hardly trolling, just good fun. By which I mean, if I get a solid or showboat kill, and I taunt, and they reply with another brutal or trickshot kill followed by a barrage of taunts on it, then I nod and give them my respect. That is how the game is played and fun is had. I don't respect any street fighter player that doesn't taunt a really lengthy combo, a ridiculously well timed break, a counter to an ultra using a joke trick, a gimmick pressure, or a ridiculous trick that worked. Crouching Dan Taunt breaks a Sagat Tiger Ultra, taunt it again. I like Yang Dash-Crossover, dash, kick, dash again, kick, trick them and shortdash, kick, taunt dat. I wish GTA5, Fall of Cybertron, and such, had taunts. I am glad Planetside2 does have some sort of taunt, actually, the NC taunts are kind of funny. "That was cute, nice try" "Sometimes, I even impress myself" "you want no piece of this".
Ok, let me summarize that. I played yesterday, taunted someone the entire duration of their death, 3 times a death, several times yesterday. He messages me with "taunting retard, just play the game". I respond with "Okay, just play the game, don't have fun. I get it, video games are serious business. They are in no way meant to be fun. Understood."
