It took me a while, but now I'm pretty much beating the AI in a 1v1 on normal difficulty all the time. It has some weak points that should be considered for upgrade. Comments much appreciated. An enemy AI is too slow to react to different vehicle types. If I go T2 Air and the AI has time to scout this (or encounter T2 Air units), it should quickly spam out AA-bots to counter. Now it sticks to whatever long term goals it has set an just rolls over and dies by my T2 Air flying over his base, possibly after trying to build an AA-turret or two extra. The AI commander still kamikazes out of his base to Uber-cannon incoming sniper bots and getting himself killed. Building a pelter is a sure way to lure him out. The AI never uses the Pelicans or Astraeus to drop tanks. At least I have not seen it do that. Don't get me wrong. I think the AI is awesome, but moooaar evil is always good.
Community: "Make the AI more evil!" Sorian: "K" You'll regret this post in a few months' time, I guarantee it
It goes like this: Community: Make AI moar evil! Sorian: K. Community (three weeks later): Damnit Sorian! The AI is too hard, OP NERF NAO!
yea agree, Insane/evil AI with crazy drop micro would be really fun to play with. AI plays pretty impressively for AI, untill you start doing standard 7 minute t2 builds. I think it brings commander out because at those timings, even hard AI doesn't have any other units to deal with it. Another problem i found is if you bomb all their fabbers from the start, they just stand there stockpiling t1 combat units off 1 factory and zero eco, zero fabbers. AI needs more priority on getting stinger assists and expanding on mex.
niicee.... I agree, this has been one of the lacking areas of the AI. If I push hard air or something, they AI doesn't change what they're doing. Gunship snipes are the easiest way to beat the AI. Keep up the great work!
I will sooo regret this I guess. But it will be challenging Please don't make the AI multitask more though. I'm a guy, and hence having problems controlling more than one set of units at a time without completely losing track of everything else. If the AI would synchronize attacks and micro-manage several groups of units at the same time it would just get insane. It would be nice if the current easy/normal/hard setting would affect not just the economy, but rather how smart the AI is. But maybe that's coming? I tried playing on hard a few times and it was no fun getting nuked after 10 minutes.
Hehe.. That sounds familiar. https://forums.uberent.com/threads/...c-scenario-where-he-goes-vehicle-first.59402/
Okaaaay. The AI in the latest build is not fooling around. I'm taking some serous damage here. Well played Sorian
