Things that would make PA complete like TA

    That was actually a deliberate thing in TA, and has been fixed in the community patch. TA allocated a certain amount of time to calculating pathfinding; at the beginning of the game the pathfinding was fine, but after a threshold of units were made it actually cut that down, until it got to a point where if it wasn't a straight line, the unit couldn't navigate :p

    The community patch fixed this, and it makes a huge difference.

    It really is astounding what they've done. Fixed pathfinding, added multi-core support, re-wrote the network code, added a quasi-strategic zoom (!) and fixed many engine bugs and hard-coded limitations, plus many other things.

    You can keep making up stories for why if you destroy the commander it's units self destruct. I wonder thought how important is the lore in game with no camapaign. And where does the lore appear? On the website , trailer, can not think of many other places.
    However all this does not matter. What matters is that for some people adding supremacy game mode will make a BIG change and to be honest I don't think it is very difficult or time consuming to add this game mode, does not require making any animations, does not require balance.

    The lore will, at least AFAIK, appear in the Galactic War, the procedurally generated psuedo-campaign.

    And how much lore there will be in the pseudo campaign. The different skins of commanders, few things wrriten or said about each commander at the begining and maybe few things, wrriten ,said if you beat an army of a commander and when you win the galactic war.( Just incase I will say it: I'm not criticising Uber for not making camapaign and understand the Technical and finacial difficulties it would bring. What I'm saying instead is that in game with little lore like Pa, there is no need to create complicated theores based on the little lore to justify anything.)

    We're not making stuff up thought. This is the actual Lore for TA,SupCom and PA, it's the entire reason why Commanders exist in the first place. The Idea is that it's really expensive to transport an entire army across the Galaxy, so what you do is miniaturize everything possible into making what is effectively a tiny Super Unit(The Commander/ACU) and just send THAT, it can build the Army all by itself.

    I agree with what you say, but the point of this discussion is the lack of obliteration game mode which were in both Ta and Supcom. I'm trying to say that even if the lore of Pa would be against such a game mode, a lot of people would enjoy it, some even more than assasination, therefore it would be really nice to have one like this.

    No one is saying ti shouldn't be present at all. Merely that it makes sense that it isn't in yet because PA is being designed primarily around the Assassination Game Type/Mode.

    Pathfinding in PA is worse than TA, the units in the recent build can't even move 5 pixels to build something... i find myself playing babysitter rather than playing a game. I often find them walking in circles with nothing blocking their path.

    Another complaint i have about PA, requiring an internet connection to play.

    If you're reading the forums like you should be, "Team", THIS IS A GAME BREAKER
    Best fix that or I'm done recommending this to friends.
    I own 2 copies of the game, and I own a huge lan at my house (15 PCs) all capable of playing PA.
    I planed to buy enough copies to fill my network and even some for people to take for their PCs because i have friends that can't afford to buy it themselves. That makes me a BIG monetary contributor to this project (If I decide to stay with it and bring my friends)... As big as some of the initial contributors. I already weigh in with the $99 donation people and ($49x15)x2 is a lot of revenue from one guy...
    Offline mode.

    they don't always move my friend... sometimes they even dance in a circle forever when you tell them to build something right next to themselves.

    The units in TA eventually move, it just takes time for them to figure it out... the game was written for one processor, each unit takes turns moving and the cpu time is dedicated to one unit's movement at a time... get 1000 units all trying to figure out a path and sure it gets messy... it's ancient technology

    When the game is released you will be able to host your own servers; this includes hosting local ones on your computer just to play against the AI without connecting to the internet.

    You aren't making stuff up no, but you are all forgetting something important, at least for the core.
    A) core commanders are clones, as are all other units that belong to core... the core is consciousness intertwined with machine, and cloned over and over, all the best and only the best is the core... clones.
    B) If the commander dies clone another.

    For the arm, it was people inside machines like mechwarriors (tm)
    so what if your commander dies, train another.

    For starters, offline mode will come at release, probably not before. If uber provides an offline mode, it means they have to give you all the files and data for their engine, which means people could copy it and steal it. Given that possibility, they don't want to give out their engine before release. Also, online-only provides them with data which they can use to fix bugs, and other issues. No offline mode isn't a game breaker, if anything it currently helps improve the game. Also, last patch was a "feature patch", meaning that there are going to be issues with the game (some pretty big ones in this case) which will be fixed in the next patch.

    Another annoyance with the movement in PA is when your commander can't stand still, but instead floats needlessly along some random path while units chase him trying to heal him and he turns sideways and falls into the terrain.

    you have no idea what you're talking about... you have all the files and data on your machine or you wouldn't be able to play it... you log in to simply prove you paid for the game. You could easily start hacking it right now if you wanted, adding your own stuff to it... i should ask my buddy to start it up with me... get out your hex editor and start working.
