PA on origin question

It's available on uk version, the top banner says this
"Get instant access to the Beta & an exclusive Theta Commander with the Warfare Edition!"
so yes you will get instant access.

For me it is £40 on Origin and £30 on Steam.

Is there actually any package that doesn't offer instant access ?

As far as I know, everyone that paid money for PA is able to play it right now.

To answer original question, if you buy on Origin, it's provides an Uber key, and I believe stores it in your origin account. They are more akin to buying through Humble (get a key for the game), rather than the Steam setup, where login and all aspects of gameplay can be handled through the Steam client.

So, wait, does that mean buying PA through Origin is drm free? Can you use the standalone launcher if you bought through Steam btw? (I use the standalone launcher, but have always been curious.)

I think it says more about the power of England at the time than any lack of on America's part. England was in the middle of fighting the Napoleonic wars, and still managed to almost defeat America on the other side of the world at the same time. Pretty incredible stuff, along with the fact that oddly, the two nations actually became somewhat closer afterwards.

Well America going to Canada in the first place was very unjust, we just assumed since Britain had treated us badly and we had wanted to leave, so had Canada. But that simply wasn't the case. But that is true, England really was a superpower at it's prime, owning countries all over the world. It had such a large empire.

Exactly. Generally, we like to show the game that's been made, not the idea we had before any work got started. The Kickstarter video is, and was, awesome, but it was just a vision. Frankly, we're still pretty close to it in most ways, but reality almost never matches a concept. And when selling something, there's this truth in advertising thing.

I mention it because the Origin link is just showing screenshots from the kickstarter trailer. It evidently hasn't been touched in a while, because it even says "Get instant access to the Beta"! Back when T2 air spam was all the rage...

I'm going to be a little pedantic here. England hasn't existed as a country since the political union of the kingdom of Scotland and the kingdom of England in 1707 to form United Kingdom of Great Britain. Just a pet peeve.
