Hello, I'm unsure if this is in the confirmed features list but what I'd like to talk about is factories.. and the fact I think it's vital they can copy queues. My least hope is a system where you click a factory then right click another and it copies the queue; I'd be content with this. (Also the ability to set queues in things that are in your fabricators queue that hasn't had construction even started would be very helpful. My biggest hope however is probably the ability to save queues and build a factory that already has a preset quuee. The reason for my problem is I really need to micro my factories at the moment because of how I like to make queues where the queue for multiple units resides in one factory for example: five scampers, two aa-bots, and three combat fabricators, (along with the occasional one bomb bot). So yes, I'd love to see me some factory queue assisting. <3 Edit: fixed all the silly queue spelling errors! <3
I would like for factories to be able to help build something another factory is building. When that other factory is infinite building 1 unit, it saves 1 click only. But when you have several units back and forth queued in one factory, you really wish that other factory would just build part of what it's trying to build so it gets done faster. I think it will actually be in the game though. What all I wish: -Factories can assist other factories -Factories can infinite queue more than 1 unit (set infinite queue, then click units to build, then it will build 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3... If you add another then it will start doing 1, 2, 3 , 4, 1, 2, 3, 4...) -being able to adjust the queue of structures. As in, hold ctrl and build a turret and the bots will build turret next instead of the pgen next queued
The multiple units for an queue is already in though, as I said, I always have an infinite queue of multiple units, 5 dox, 2 aa, and 3 combat fabs on infinite. But it's extremely micro intensive to do this to all my factories when I build new factories as well as set them to infinite.
If you have a queue of 2-3 different units, and set to infinite, it builds them? Wierd, I always micro my bot factory and infinite build 1 unit on each of 3-4 vehicle factories each assisted in varying degrees to increase numbers for one over another. Seriously, after a single test I did sometime before, I thought if I que 3 dox and 1 stinger, that it never builds that stinger ever, and I thought that was because the queue just never goes down (basically it locks the queue so it never changes or goes down).
Yep, basically it builds the first on you selected like if I set the first to five do it builds five dox; then two aa bots, and finally three combat fabs, then repeats. But having to do that with every new factory takes a lot of time.
Sorry, but I have to do this, it's just bugging me too much. *queue not que. Other than that, I really like this Idea, it would make setting up factories that have just been finished much easier, especially If you're trying to get a whole bunch of factories doing the same thing.
Haha, my apologies, I was wondering why auto-correct said it was incorrect. Sadly it wouldn't give me the correct spelling so I just winged it.
Yeah, sorry, I just speak french as well, and "que" means "that" in french, it was bugging me because I kept reading "that" every time I saw "que".
Also means "What" in spanish, as well as that, but its more of a non-literal-english-translation type thing.
I dream of a "Build Manager Window" which pops up when you press the "Select all factories" button, in which just all units appear as one slider (0-100) each which you can adjust and thus reflect its build ratio. The system should do the rest. The currently existing stuff is not bad though, if you have two T2BotFab, and you push the "Select all factories", you can click on a Slammer and it queues one in each factories. That window is just missing a display of how many and what type of factories are not building anything currently.
