This game needs some power ups.
How about buildings that increase attack, defence, increase build speed, decrease build cost?

That would introduce SO much unnecessary micro, and powerups aren't really an RTS thing.

Power ups ARE an rts thing. Every rts has a way to improve, or power up your troops or economy. This rts has 1 power up per type of troop. There are lvl 1 and 2 vehicles, bots, planes.

I think there should be more.... any one else?

Actually, RTS' have veterancy, which is an upgrade system based on how many kills a unit gets, but not power up buildings, at least not to my knowledge.
    *puts on Brian Purkiss voice*
And upgrades are a confirmed no, they just don't fit with PA. Most units don't last long enough to justify it and the devs are going by a "what you see is what you get" motto, and upgrades go against that.
I recommend that you check the confirmed features list and FAQ.

    Thanks for the reply.

I know that AOE lets you build an "armory" where you can give your troops +1,+2, etc to their stats. This is the type of thing I was suggesting. I just thought it would allow for some diverstiy. As it stands, everyones armys are the same. If we had some "power up" choices, you could customize a little bit.

I DO like troops gainging exp...

Mushroom biomes confirmed. Units will grow bigger after consuming harvested mushrooms.

Uber have stated previously that they are aiming for WYSIWYG with PA, which means no research, no boosters, no veterancy - you should be able to tell everything about your opponent visually.

Well if I remember correct SupCom 1 only had commander and sub commander upgrades, Supreme commander 2 had a upgrade tree for all the units...

    no and no.

    so my suspicion is confirmed

In sup com you could upgrade mass extractors three times, shields up to five times, assisting engie kennels up to 4 times and factories three times aswell, in SupCom 2 you didn't have ANY upgrades you had "researches" that's what it was called. and it was instantaneous, effective immediately, you didn't have to wait or to pay any resources.

I stand by my first assertion. There should be some power ups. It's not a game breaker for me, because I'm really enjoying getting my arse kicked in PA. I like the game a lot. Just thought it might spice it up a bit.

Well, as it currently stands it very well could be a game-breaker.
Balance isn't exactly that good at the moment.

Usually when I hear about 'balance' issues, it refers to one 'class' being way more powerful than another, or one unit being more powerful than another. Seeing as everyone's units are the same, I'm a little confused by what you mean by 'balance issues'.?
Do you mean how most people, in my experience, seem to gravitate towards nukes? Maybe some power ups could help mitigate that 'balance issue'?

It's because the game is currently a race to T2.
T1 is currently completely irrelevant because some T2 units are direct upgrades of T1 units.
Uber seems to be attempting to fix this, but I'm still unsure if they're on the right track.

The point on power ups stays the same, however. Uber simply does not want to do it, and I don't blame them.
