    Nope, only affected mobile units.

Is that why Leviathans would occasionally shoot into space? Explains a lot.

Also excited by the changes meta posted, when this gets out there it's gonna be interesting to play that's for sure.

I really like the idea of having a space station (in fact, that was what I was thinking about myself when I was drooling about how the game might eventually play out).
If we are going to have neat orbital invasion fleets (ideally you would select them and use an area command on a hostile planet to clear a perimeter for your ground forces to land/build a teleporter -> in this context you might also want to think about being able to clear such a perimeter on every layer from every layer...so you can clear the orbit from ground and clear the air layer from orbit and so on) we would have to mass produce units and a factory really is the only feasible way to do it. Having to construct all anchors manually is kind of weird.

I would also like to see the economy "bounciness" being reduced. Currently the economy is always fluctuating between a massive surplus and a massive negative. Proper (economical) gameplay should be about always keeping your metal income at a slight negative. Therefore it should be easy to avoid such large surplusses in metal (which might be hindered by a huge boost in metal from T2....but the jump to T2 being too drastic and too important is a different topic) and you shouldn't drop to a huge negative as fast as you can with that boosted T2 economy/fabbers.

But I guess you know all of this already XD

I think we can all agree on a mini version on this for a orbital factory:

While building it should look like this:

Or could be a new laser platform model...

How would the death star be a good thing to use for a factory?
Besides, we're already going to get death stars once metal planets get some TLC.
Which is hopefully going to be cxqQN0K.jpg but we'll just have to wait and see.

Commander Uber cannon cooldown is being tested!? I am excite. @metabolical , are you guys also going to be giving it back the brutal bite it had before, or will it do damage in the same way it currently does? I always liked the idea of it having its fire rate hard limited, but vaporizing anything that was unlucky enough to not have 4 seconds to get out of the way... (with the exception of the commander)

Also, some interesting other changes coming down the pipe, very excited for the next build!

mysql databases and numerical date comparison functions pretty much settled the argument in favor of yyyy-mm-dd hh:ii:ss
anything else would mean an army of angry coders going around murdering people :-S
The only other format i could settle for is the allmighty unix timestamp.

mmmmmm... space stations and the speed/AOE changes on kestrels and peregrins are sounding supersexy.

I noticed in one of the streams that the infernos were moving quiet fast, did their speed change as well?

I think that this orbital factory posted in the fan art section should do pretty well

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I don't like the grenadier role for dox at all. I'd much rather see dox take on a high mobility mode rather than artillery (like I said: Jump jets). I'd leave artillery role for the tanks.

Also I have a couple more suggestions:
    - How about making the T0 Defense tower a mixed AA and PD and allow it to be build by both t2 and t1 fabbers. This would make it unique and usable later in the game. Now it only gets build by commanders or as a response to enemy tower rush, otherwise the double defense tower is always preferred. Also increasing the build time of double and triple defense towers should be done.
    - I believe that at least orbital power stations should be buildable by fabbers.
    - Orbital bombardment should be left to SXX only imho. I would still support anchors as ground attack units if their role was to enter air layer before being to attack ground. That would also make them a tool to crack planets with lots of umbrellas and air defense.
    - I still don't with building teleporters from orbit. I think that T2 combat fabbers should be used for that role and that one should first be required to land on the planet. But we first need a way to deal with the enemy presence over there from orbit.

This could be it - the start of seeing a class of orbital factory that can rain down units for invasion. Would be so happy for that! All together sounds like some great work on Uber's part.

Some great stuff in there. The T2 fighter's finally had the AOE removed! Now one fighter can't take out 20.

I would vote for this factory, looks awesome.

Some interesting changes with T2 air and orbital, looking forward to it! Great work.
