    Same here!

I'm excited to see that new orbital fabber model. The new Stargate model is a nice change too. It now looks even more like the real thing! :D

I'm just going call them Nuke Factories. That way everyone's happy!

Yes I can see that it is smaller, thus it can fit on smaller locations, and that it is wider thus it is easer to shove more units though it.

However as I have said before, I think the teleporter should be used defensively not offensively. It should be used after you get a simple beachhead and to lead the main invasion not to establish a beachhead. It should be costly and at a higher tech level. No need for a model change because size should not matter for this. Not that the model change is bad, that is your own personal preference. It just needs to be rethought out. In my opinion the role it is currently taking is wrong.

    Hmmmmmmph.

I'm not convinced that this would change the number of T2 factories to be honest.... you can build the T2 factories more efficiently, but you can also build the T1 factories and super weapons more efficiently.

It gives some justification for T1 units and T2 units though. . The ratio of Doxen to Slammers would be 9:1. Assuming Slammer cost increased to 10 seconds again. That seems like it would be more viable that ridiculously OP T2 units could be overwhelmed by larger numbers of T1 units...

    Mmm...

    Wait and see.

I love this stuff. Sure, you should probably come up with a term - experiment, speculative, what-if, crazy idea? - to label these tests.

It doesn't matter what we call it, it will cause some people to start speculating on how much we've ruined the game and honestly we're just trying it out. You don't know how things feel until you actually play them.

Thus the reason for my bolded, italicized text. ;)

How do you see being able to invade planets with an army? Or should that be left to nukes, orbital and asteroids?

And I think the idiots who act like that and go nuts off of some playtest can go stuff it.

Sometimes we overreact, yes, but that should be a clear signal that something is at least a little weird.

That's feedback m8. At least take it with a grain of salt :)

Most of us don't spread rumors about *game breaking* features - we test them first. That's how we (the responsible ones) do things. The people that actually matter to this game will be responsible about it too.

Trust in us. You've done it so far. And this bone is really tasty....:)
The more options the better. I like that teleporters can be used as a beachhead for this reason.

Also why I want to see the unit cannon. :)

It should absolutely be invading planets with an army. The "super weapons" should be supplementing your army. Not turning the game into a "planetary phase - interstellar phase - planetary phase".

    Pretty much this.

So build one! They are great little T1 tanks.

People will always speculate about how you're ruining the game, because some people are incredibly dense.

I see where you're coming from though, it is getting BEYOND annoying seeing the words "ruined" and "failure" spammed all across the forums about an unfinished game as if they forgot what "Early Access" entails.

That's going to become a meme here, isn't it? o_O

This is a pretty massive change to build efficiency, making t2 fabbers as efficient as commanders. I'd go so far as to say T2 energy doesn't need to be more efficient than T1 energy like this, instead it could be just be specialised somehow (strong with small footprint is the obvious choice). Spamming energy with T2 reaches break-even in a third of the time.

The teleporter currently doesn't do anything to help you invade planets with an army unless they have only just begun to be colonized. Putting a teleported down on even a lightly fortified planet is nigh impossible. Unless you first use loads of nukes, orbital, and asteroids. Actually even with those it is impossible, since none of those do damage to a bombers patrolling the entire planet.

I like your ideas on tweaking the eco... However personally I'd be interested to try the whole economy dialed back a notch. At the moment all games play like metal maps on ta or spring as you have enough metal for pretty much anything in a matter of minutes. You've mentioned you like to find the extremes, have you tested how the game plays if you slash production rates in half or even to a third?

Ps not complaining here honest! Just a suggestion if it's something you haven't tried yet...

I think this can easily be sorted by providing orbital with a way of combating the air layer.... With an air fighter built in orbital that gets deployed down to air, or the ability for orbital fabbers to build aa turrets.
