C + del is a very fast way to ruin a team game with shared control. Make the delete commands vetoable or something. It could leave the team stronger off if they could just kick a player out before they let their frustration ruin a potentially salvageable game from everyone.
Play alliance with randoms. Play shared with those that you trust. If you don't know that you can trust them, act like you can't.
I can deal with people pickering about cross-using comms or units. Sometimes teammates can be worse than them idling but atleast they are trying in their opinion to better the situation. There is very very few situations where blowing up comms before their time could better the team situation. Even if myself didn't play shared it would be uneven to play shared vs unshared. But if both play shared and the opposing team harakiris I am still robbed of a game even if no "trusted" person commited any foul. I would rather not start blacklisting persons just because of this issue. There is no identification on who gave the order. So even blacklisting persons I would have to blacklist 3 (4 if enemy team) bystanders for every teambomber to avoid it repeat on me.
It's still pretty easy to accidentally delete your Commander, which could also be happening. This is a known issue the team is working to resolve.
That makes me wonder what key near "del" you press during normal gameplay. I think the closest thing to it is enter, but that I only press during chat. Not while my commander is selected.
maybe add a "vote" function .. if someone wants to delete his com in a shared army game the other players have to klick "OK" to perform the suicide ?
full consent to killing your own commanders is a key thing here, the vote should be put in! btw, I also get trolls who suicide our team when we are winning, it is very annoying!
Yep, this is a serious issue. I had this happend 2 times today. "Luckily" it happened on the opposing team....
