Imperial Victus/Imperial Delta difference ?

i just updated to build 63180. i can see the badge system has been partially fixed. but what is it with this new Victus commander? it looks just like the Delta. can someone please explain about this? because i am completely lost.

To please the people whining about how Uber used the Delta for advertising over on Steam but didn't include it? (I'm looking at you carlorizzante, and I suppose may others, but you stood out )

I remember seeing the Invictus as a variant of the Delta shortly after it had first been shown to us. Seems they decided to go ahead an make it an option after all. I'm currently using it.

From what I saw they both had the raised shoulder panels

There is a bug in catalog.js that causes the invictus image to be the delta. In game it looks fine though.

Just as a bit of clearance for those that couldn't play yet - this is the in-game Invictus.

Basically it's the old delta, I'm guessing it's because of the advertising stuffs.

This is... strange. I think they should probably make more changes than just opening/closing the shoulder pads. Or maybe change the delta again instead, so that the differences would be more obvious. Something to differentiate them more basically, just so the Delta remains fairly 'exclusive' for those who care about that. Not something I care about much personally, but I can see why someone with the delta might be a little annoyed by it.

EDIT: The idea of having the iconic commander freely available is good though, I'll agree with that, just that I think they could share many similarities while being more distinct.

Define "old Delta", I wasn't aware it underwent any significant changes?

Didn't notice the antenna at first, interesting.

Also, anyone know if the colors on the more recent commanders' construction arms have been fixed? I don't have PA downloaded, but they've been using secondary colors for the danger stripes instead of yellow/black.

We use the "old" Delta (now Invictus) commander for almost all of our press images, banners, launcher, and ... we use him for some other stuff. This was because the Delta was the first commander we built to near final quality and it was a while before we had another of similar quality. It seemed like kind of a di... uh, an impolite move to use him him for so much and not have him be available to all players.

Not the antenna ... that's actually been removed in game from Invictus too.

And yes, the construction stripes should be fixed now. We did a significant pass on all commanders to clean up their tools (weapon and fabrication arm).

Delta- Uber Cannon Facing Medial
Invictus- Uber Cannon Facing Outwards
Delta- Not sure but seems to be a few meters shorter than Invictus
Invictus- Shoulder Pad Higher Off of Shoulders
Delta- Shoulder Flaps Open

Oh and just noticed Ben, I think you might have the two coms backwards , the one with the shoulder flaps is free for everyone as I have seen, and the closed one is for the specials
