How is your OS handling all this? I'm surprised she hasn't marked them as malware and tossed them into the recycle bin yet.

hmm. might need to update my definitions. seems like I'm the one that's been marked as malware.

Should'a made the poll allow multiple selections. On second thought maybe not, I would have checked everything. (Some things would have been checked harder than other things tho)

yeah, I thought about that. but then I re-read the poll question that I had already typed; "...want the most" and that connotates one answer, so I went with that. I agree, if it was multiple choice, a lot of people would just tick off everything they liked, which would be most things. More interesting when you make people choose, me thinks.

asteroids plz. :) for their use as a projectile, and as a Halley-driven nuclear-armed warship.

I would like to see more options of game play, like one idea is making it so that my commander dying wont end the game, options where you can do role play, trade. It would be really cool having more options of how to play the game.

That's the whole point though. Also in games where that's not the case it's not uncommon for people to troll build. ie. walk around and build random junk you have to find, at least now you only have to find one sci-fi toaster per player.

Well anyway, its not like I'm biased to commanders being elite toaster units, we could have an end building that comes with your commander in the shape of a epenis that you have to destroy to win. Can you elaborate what gameplay advantage there is to not ending the game on commander destruction and how the game would end with out it.

Refined visuals are key I think. Everyone's already mentioned performance improvements, and verrak/bgolus are kicking *** and taking names in that department. As an earlier poster mentioned though, some refinements in the appearance of some biomes would be really fantastic.

The other thing is orbital paths - parts seem 'physics driven' but there are some key shortcuts around halleys etc where planets don't really follow a believable path (ie the halleys are on the wrong side of the planet, and planets make sharp turns)

Finally, selection and UI help. I still find to select orbital units I have to rotate the planet a quarter-turn to see whats flying higher. Some filters to show only certain unit types is a must.

I am not saying change the game of what is going to become, I am saying add the option to pick. or maybe make it so people can mod the game to add things like that. I would like to do a battle where I go all out, last unit standing type of battle you know?

I haven't look into the future of the game, so I am unaware of what will be changing adding on to the game.

In French Internet subculture, 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' is an appropriate response to a question that makes no sense

[IMG]Online, when someone French doesn’t know how to respond to a question, but wants to be amusing, they say “Obi-Wan Kenobi” to tell the person they don’t understand. It might seem strange, but let me explain how it developed. There's a satirical puppet show called Les Guignols de L’info, or News Puppets in English. Think a cross between The Daily Show and The Muppets, if they were in the uncanny valley.

Les Guignols de L’info popularized the term when they made a parody of the French version of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire." The fourth answer to every question was always “Obi-Wan Kenobi.” Since then, online multiple choice questionnaires offer the answer “Obi-wan Kenobi.” The term was then picked up by the Internets and French forum-goers everywhere now use it to indicate that the question you just asked doesn't make sense.

What an interesting piece of national internet culture, I never know what I'm going to learn on the uberent forums.

On topic: asteroid belts. They are paramount for proper warfare between entrenched planets in my view, rather than just 'who can build most nukes/orbital fabbers'.
