Balance health/damage as needed Buff Hummingbirds a tad to make them a more viable dedicated air-to-air unit Make Avengers orbital bombers Balance Umbrella to compensate Then you end up with the really awesome Base Delta Zero operations we all love in our sci fi battles: Congratulations you found a new amazing image to stick into your backgrounds folder.
Or, even better, develop the orbital layer with proper units designed for the task, and actually integrate it properly into the rest of the game.
What would those tasks be if I may ask? Just out of curiosity, Orbital is still Air 1.5 to me and probably will be until the advent of server side modding.
As much as I love the idea of space combat and the orbital stuff. I do wonder if perhaps a more simplistic orbital would be better. With a more simplistic approach you wouldn't have to worry about the UI for it etc. How it would get simplified I really am not sure, but orbital is getting dangerously close to being yet another entire layer of the battle field and I know Uber has said they did not want that. The UI as it's currently set up just is not build to handle this layer well. But will see as they go. Re balancing will have a HUGE impact on how things flow.
True enough. I just wished for orbital to be more different from air in role and style than it currently is. But hey, modding is on the horizon so this is just a case of grumpy me. The game is still turning out to become greater by the day, personal preferences notwithstanding. Oh, before I totally derail the thread at hand: Orbital bombardment?
