I recently decided I should try to actually use my keyboard in PA. One of the most useful hotkeys I set was the "Toggle Build Orders" one, to toggle my factories build mode between normal and continuous when I press 'r'. I noticed that there was no sound when using this hotkey. SO I started working on a mod today to give me some sort of feedback on what I've done when I press 'r'. I think hearing particular bleeps when pressing particular hotkeys could be nicer than having to look over and see what you're toggling, and what state it was just changed to.The way I've added the sounds also means the button on the command bar makes the same sound, which is nice for consistency. Currently this mod is in the concept/testing stage. The only implemented sounds are for toggling build orders (continuous/normal), and are probably placeholder sounds... and may not work. Any feedback, suggestions (including sound suggestions please?), and just "yep this works" messages are appreciated! Edit: Yes I am aware the bleeps happen even when you don't have a factory selected. Not sure how to fix this one yet.
Can you just record yourself saying "bleep"? It's a very fun word! I want my game to say "bleep" in a burntcustard voice whenever I press a hotkey.
I might get someone to record sounds. Energy orders ON: "bzzzzzz", energy orders off: "AUSTERITY MODE ACTIVE". Still working in v.63180 (not that it does much yet).. so at least I don't have to fix anything for this mod D:
