Step 1: Sneak advanced fabbers onto a planet controlled by the enemy
    Step 2: Spam Halleys
Step 3: Send the planet hurtling into another planet
Step 4: Laugh gleefully at your opponent's bewilderment.

that many fabbers is kinda hard to miss...but it would indeed be hilarious.

Therefore one of the conditions of this being entirely possible is stealth fields.

No, not stealth fabbers. A unit or building that can hide other units or buildings from radar.

You can see the direction the projectiles are coming from and scout.

The only way this would happen would be if the enemy player is incompetent and doesn't scout, build radar, or pay attention.

    Would be pretty epic though.

I was thinking about, what happens if a moon is launched to smash into another planet and you got units on it, killing the Haleys? Would the moon stop moving?

Well, it is possible to have a halley race right?
See who can build the required amount the fastest, and if both players have the same amount the planet can't move because of the counter-thrusters?

You know what else would be hilarious?

Shooting enemy units into the space with the unit cannon.

You need transports big enough to pick up Halleys built on another planet. They rocket off to another planet, drop off the engines, ignition, and then it's off to someplace else with those guys.

We actually should test this, we should have two players build halleys on a crash able planet, & see what happens (preferably someone who can record it)

we got it straight from the dev's mouths; 2 opponents building halleys will cancel each others' out.

    e.g.
    Bob has 3 halleys built
    Steve has 2 halleys built
= Bob has 1 functioning halley.

IIRC, it's still possible to assist building ground structures with orbital fabbers. This strategy might work with orbital supremacy:

    1. Build hundreds of orbital fabbers, a couple of SXX, some anchors, and enough metal and energy storage to build the halleys with it
    2. Use the orbital fabbers to create a teleporter on the planet
    3. Send an advanced fabber through the teleporter to get all the halleys started immediately
    4. Use the orbital fabbers to assist building the halleys
    5. While the opponent is trying to stop you, use the orbital fabbers to continually repair the halleys faster than the opponent can damage them. Use the SXX to take out umbrellas, nukes and other dangerous units.

    Alternatively for ground units:

    1. Build hundreds of advanced fabber bots and enough metal and energy storage to build the halleys with it
    2. Move all the fabbers to the planet through a teleporter
    3. Build the halleys before the opponent notices that you have landed on the planet

    Game mode idea:

    - Two unmovable planets and one movable asteroid
    - The players start on different unmovable planets
    - Fabbers are the only allowed unit
    - The commanders must not leave their planets
    - The commanders may be attacked only by smashing the asteroid at their planet

Planets with only one halley requirement make this entirely possible.
I actually was telling my teammate in my last 2v2 to do this to a player who was just setting up his moon base on the planetoid. Unfortunately he saw it and pulled some t2 fabs from his other base to build a catapult ;(

A radar jamming unit and/or building would be very handy in general for this type of thing, but as was mentioned if you've got a planet with bombers patrolling it will nip you in the bud whether you're cloaked or not.

    Hurray for area patrol.

Now, supposing you could skydrop halleys onto a planet...
