Hi guys, I hope you can help. Please see the support chain below.

Hi I brought the game on Steam and I have been trying to message people using steam on the forums but keep getting "There was an error creating a new topic: 2" I have tried both via the client and via Google Chrome with no luck. Below is the message I was trying to post.

Happens either at the start or very early on in the game. I have a 32B Win 7 using a Nvidia 8800GTX with the latest drivers. 4GB of RAM and a Quadcore Intel 6600 Quadcore 2.6GHZ processor.

I have also checked my Direct X is on the latest and verified my game files like in the FAQ.

    Hi James,

Thank you for your email. Out of curiosity, are you able to upgrade the OS to a 64-bit system? We've found that the 32-bit limits access to the RAM and can cause crashes. You'll also want to make sure your system is Large Address Aware so you can utilize more memory.

If you'd like assistance, we have several very knowledgeable folks in our Community on our Forums that can assist. Please post your DxDiag report to the Forum here:

If there are any questions, please feel free to contact us anytime.

    Thanks!

How do I make it "Large Address Aware "? Also upgrading my OS just for a
game is out of the question I'm afraid.

    Hi James,

If upgrading to a 64-bit OS is unavailable, allowing /largeaddressaware will help your 32-bit system increase its memory usage.

Here is an article found online on how to enable the switch. It is in reference to an autocad software, but the instructions are well written and simple:

Sorry I removed the URLs as the forum wouldn't let me post the message with them in. If you want me to relink I can do.

don't 32-bit product keys still work on 64-bit versions of windows?

you'd still have to re-install the OS which is a bit of a nuisance I suppose.

You have a bunch of RAM that is being wasted right now with 32-bit so it might be worthwhile anyway.

Managed to get it working. I had the graphics set to UBER which normally isn't a problem. I knocked them down to medium to try and see if ti was a memory issue and it seemed to solve it.

Hmm could be an idea. However I would want to be certain before I reinstalled the whole OS and then had to do it again.

hi I'll just tell you taht I have a hyperthreaded quadcore and 12 GB of ram quatriple channel and my system struggles to run this game. What there talkin about is 32 bit windows is limited to slightly less than 4 GBs of ram. I can't imagine tryin to play this game on 4 GB of ram cause I do struggle with 12 GBs of ram when units start really getting made. I don't know how to get your game working in the first place but I can tell you if you did it'll lag you down so bad you wish you never bought the game :(

From what I know hes got 4GBs of ram and windows can is limited to slightly less than 4 GBs of ram so even if his game did run he just wouldn't have any FPS and just wouldn't be fun. This game really feels like it needs like 24 GBs of ram and probably moar processor power as well ha ha. At least till they optimize it which I'm not sure how that works exactly I'm still kinda new at this as I'm still in school for this :p
