Hello, I have some problem with starting game in Elementary OS(Ubuntu). Game does not start. I am searching on this forum but I didn't find any information of solving this problem. I wanted to see log files, but game does not writing it(because of problem with starting). I hope someone will help me. Thanks!
What do you mean with "does not start" precisly? Do you get a black window or no window at all? Can you hear music even though you don't see anything? Also, can you start PA from the command line? If you do that, than it will output what it's doing there and possibly why it fails. The logs are stored in ~/.local/Uber Entertainment/Planetary Annihilation/log and you should definitely have one there even if it fails to start completely.
Hello, The game completely does not start. No window, no sounds, no logs(I checked twice). I tried to start from console and the game does not start too(executable bit is set).
Erm, what does the error message say there? Try running it like this: Code: LC_MESSAGES=en_CA.UTF-8 ./PA It should spit out the error you are getting in English then.
You are right. Thank you for helping. That's not terrible, because I have been planning to change OS from Elementary(port of Ubuntu) back to Ubuntu for so long. And it is another reason to do this much quicker.
Before you do that you might want to check known issues list of Linux version. You might find link in my signature.
