"pa.exe has stopped working" I get this on launch every time from both steam and the standalone launcher. I have been trying to update everything I can find to no avail Dxdiag and PA log attached Any help is much appreciated
I have to say, this thread name has appeared dozens of times since the launch. Could I recommend putting some try/catches around the basic setup areas so it can point to what the issue is? I know I get the crash when peerblock is running - it'd be nice if it just said 'failed to establish an internet connection.'
Your problem occur because of drivers that built into Windows 8 and 8.1: Code: Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit (6.3, Build 9600) (9600.winblue_gdr.131030-1505) Card name: ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1) Driver Date/Size: 4/26/2013 00:28:10, 1103904 bytes Problem is: built-in drivers doesn't support OpenGL and AMD driver installer can't replace them properly.
