I can't even view replays of a collision unless I time step at a rate such that the tick it lands on isn't during the collision. I'm running this on my sys76 laptop which has run it fine before. I haven't tried running gamma on my desktop which has more horsepower, I tend to use my desktop as a compile horse, not a gaming platform. graphics: GeForce GT 560M RAM: 16Gb CPU: i7-2860QM
Can you please get crash dump and log for this one and upload it here or on bugtracker? For some reason it's not affects me when I tried to reproduce it on Nvidia.
http://pastebin.com/RKqKCdwR seems me and the fellow on the tracker both encounter this: [22:12:24.521] ERROR /pa/effects/textures/particles/softDot.papa: open failed
Can you upload this file as well? /tmp/7b42f2ca-14c6-d980-067eefd5-1d2cd3f2.dmp Yes this file actually called "softdot.papa" Though I find disadvantage of running game from USB stick with case insensitive FS.
Also just to clarify, this file contain effect information: /media/pa/effects/specs/meteor_impact_explosion.pfx It's use following file two times: Code: "baseTexture":"/pa/effects/textures/particles/softdot.papa" "baseTexture":"/pa/effects/textures/particles/softDot.papa"
That was it, seems a ... rather silly error if you can get Uber to fix this in their next build we'll be hunky dory I copied the file and renamed it to both case sensitive versions.
Can you try if this fix crash or not? I just wonder if Uber not make their internal (that game engine working with after it's mounted) FS case insensitive.
Thanks. I'll make sure they'll fix it. I see task on bugtracker while ago but didn't had free time to test it on Linux properly.
This happens to me on windows, upon any planetary collision the game just freezes and loses connection. It doesn't actually crash however.
