Hello, I've experienced some issues playing with my friend(s). When ever one of us loads a system, no matter which one of us it is, then I crash. It usually happens at the point the other person(s) get into the actual game, and can start playing. For some reason I just freeze up. The game stops responding and closes down. We're trying to play a multiplayer game that's team based, agaist 2 or 3 AIs. When I play with 3 players, the other two get into the game, and I'm left frozen. We've tried singular planets, and all the kinds of planets. Nothing works. I'd really apreciate some help. Thanks in advance.
Graphics driver date looks really weird: Code: Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 Driver Version: 9.17.10.3347 Driver Date/Size: 1/29/2014 23:02:36, 12617216 bytes How did you update drivers? From Intel website or Windows Update? Also by default game is running on slow integrated graphics so I recommend you configure your drivers to run it on Nvidia GPU. For details check "Laptops and hybrid graphics" section in this topic: http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/864980278116578701/ If you sure that game is running on Nvidia already, can you please make game crash one more time and upload log file and crash dump? Here is how-to about that: http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/648814845443326834/
If you sure that game is running on Nvidia already, can you please make game crash one more time and upload log file and crash dump?
I've now set it to the Nvidia GPU, then i ran the game again. I have attached the crashlog, but a thing i forgot to mention in my first message is, when i crash, I freeze completely. This time i was frozen for about 5 minutes where after the music in the background turned into a very loud "ERRRRRRRR" sound. Where after about 3 minutes it killed all sound on my entire system. The freeze continued for about 10 minutes. then it proceded into a black screen for another 10 minutes. (Even my keyboard didn't respond). After the black screen went away, I had to wait an addition 10-15 minutes before my computer acted normally again, well except i still have no sound at all. Hope this helped a little. And i hope I havn't destroyed my sound card
Is that log you upload supposed to be from Nvidia GPU or not? It's not actually crash, there is no crash in log. From what I see you possible overestimate performance of your laptop: Code: [17:01:28.247] INFO Building planet of radius 400 detail 2 [17:01:57.466] INFO Building planet of radius 760 detail 2 [17:01:59.292] INFO Building planet of radius 794 detail 2 [17:02:01.538] INFO Building planet of radius 1175 detail 2 [17:02:01.538] INFO Building planet of radius 620 detail 2 Can you give any details on this solar system? What planet's is that? I just want to say that you only have 6GB RAM and if 1175 planet it's Lava or Earth with low water it's can use 2-2.5GB alone. Can you try to run game on smaller system and check memory usage?
This might actually make game crash when running on Intel HD 3000. Windows Update provide drivers with missing (broken?) OpenGL support. I recommend you to remove existing drivers though Windows Control Panel or Device Manager, then try to install them as "Win64_152820.exe" from this page: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23377
I should probably add that we have tried simgular planets (Some of the default ones) and that didn't work either.
Obviously I only mean Intel HD3000 driver. According to log you posted game is running on this video card. Also I doubt Nvidia distribute drivers updates though Windows Update.
