Sweet mother of... you guys are still producing patches at 8pm so early in the week. Good bug fixes. I wasn't complaining, getting some time to play RenX while PA was down (which RenX isn't any less buggy), but now I think I will try out some of the game again
I noticed that in the code and ran here to post about it. Turns out there's also some preferred Commander selection implemented too...
Havent seen the new code yet, but I think the old code had preferred commander selection working except a line at the end of the file forced it to use the alpha commander instead. It looked like some debug code or a quick bug fix that wasn't necessary anymore.
Apparently I found a bug. I can't start a game against an AI, how fun! I press the "Start game" button and absolutely nothing happens. Other than that I haven't noticed any issues...
Is it a sandbox ai or another difficulty? Just a 1v1? If you know how to loog at the coherent errors, is anything showing as a problem?
AI is set to Sandbox, Easy, Normal, Hard. 1v1 and 1v1v1 tried. No idea how to look at Coherent logs, verified the files, stand alone launcher. Sim seems to be running fine.
Especially the lobby renamer... I just realized I never tested actually clicking the start button. I released it as soon as I saw the new name show up in the server browser. *Edit* So maybe it wasn't me. I just gave myself a heart attack. I should still test that though...
Got the same thing. AI commander doesnt seem to have a team colour box beside the commander icon either. Also I can select the Delta commander but not the Progenitor which is strange because I shouldn't have the Delta and normally use the Progenitor. Ive tried selecting a different commander but the game still wont start.
Try disabling any mods you might have(fixed it for me). Also, the Progenitor is showing up as the Delta(portrait), the Delta(portrait/picture) before the Alpha Commander is the CORRECT one(meaning the Progenitor).

So there have been reports that this was caused by PA Stats. Guess my previous hack to get around the broken handler was pretty bad for the new patch. Released a super quick fix that seems to work. At least I can make a game and stats seem to be reporting. Automatches will be gone till I fix them in the evening though. Also make sure to disable the blackscreen fix, I have not tested what itt does in the current build, but it ought to be broken from the code diffs. @raevn: Secondary colors never were gone in the code, PA Stats was reading them all the time
It was gone insofar as there was no native ui method of changing them. And if I remember correctly you tried to use the engine call to get next secondary colour and found that it didn't work? Or was that someone else? In any case, it's back to how it was pre-gamma, minus visually showing what the current secondary colour is.
Loaded PA Stats and In game timer and the game worked but with a black screen again. It might be better system view or efficency mod but I wont have enough time to try until tomorrow. (probably fixed by then anyway)
