So, the game is starting to feel almost done

    Mavor said he thought the endgame sucked, or something along those lines, and I think he's right. Whether it's things like the Unit Cannon needed to fix that, or balance, or whatever, that needs to make its way in. Also the AI has a ways to go, the neural network isn't even on yet.

    John Patrick Lowrie is key, key, goddamnit. Doubly so if they're removing the nanolathe and replacing it with something else.

    Personally I expect Gamma to last about three to fourth months and then release to arrive. I think some things are going to be pushed post-release. I think that's going to be a great day to troll the forum :D

    Isn't the saying that the first 90% of the game takes half of the time and the last 10% of the game also takes half of the time? I think that if Uber wants to they could easily delay for another year, it's only a question of financial considerations.

    the game definitively needs invasion tools other then unitcannon and teleporters that work for non orbiting planets ... otherwise you have to set up the systems always in a specific way for it to work ...
    i am also looking forward to hovercraftunits as a tank replacement on pure waterplanets or waterplanets with very low landmass ...
    unlike op i am totaly against units for orbital bombardment ... you have the beam satalite for that already ..

    These are the 3 top things I want to see in the gamma phase.
    1. Astroid belts
    2. More Units
    3. Low Gravity Orbital Unit Transports able to cary more than one unit at a time.(As seen in Kick Starter video)

    Well I think galactic war is a very cool idea I do agree with once its on that lvl of multi planet orbital play the pace of the game drops dramatically. We need orbital factory! So as to establish a foothold on a planet neglecting its orbital layer. And more interactions with ground to orbital or orbital to ground.

    We will be getting the 'change orbit' feature for planets with halleys soon™, seeing as the button for it is already in-game. Once asteroid belts/fields are in-game, setting up attack platforms should be a bit easier, as you can build on an asteroid and then send it into orbit around your enemy's planet.
    For games without asteroids I'm hoping we get some kind of build-able planetoid we can use to mount attacks and smash into planets.

    I guess but what is depicted is something that can carry more than one unit between planets thats what I want.

    did you read my example? using halleays requires a specific setup for systems that either include asteroids/asteroidbelts or small enough planets ..
    but what if peope only want to play with two big planets that dont orbit each other not starting on the same ?
    in that case you have only austreus and the teleporter ...

    multipe unittransports and orbital planecarriers have been requested before they dont have to be like that lander from the concepttrailer though ...

    lookwise no idea ... functionwise they should just take multiple like up to 10 or so bots/vehicles/hovercraft or planes and release them being in their respective layers when reaching another planet ....

    what's totally missing is a way to invade planets. Just played a 1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1 with 4 large planets and i had 2 planets covered with 4k mass and 400k energy but couldn't do anything. Basically whoever sits there the longest while other ppl leave the game wins. It eventualy froze up though (soooo many units)

    Keep in mind that there is no such thing as "done". There is going to be a 1.0 release but even at that point we are going to continue working on the game.

    Don't expect every little pet item for 1.0. Polish is really the important thing we need to do that. Pet units, certain features etc. can continue to be added afterwards.

    In my opinion, that's not a specific setup; that's every setup that isn't just pure large planets, which is a specific setup. That's also why I suggested some kind of build-able planetoid as a replacement for asteroids in asteroid-free systems.

    so shall we not be able to properly finish that setup but be forced to always have asteroids or orbiting planets? my problem with that asteroid setup is that most of the time it either ends in asteroid smash or nukes ... or poeple quiting because non is able to break into the others planet ... unitcannon may help for invasions which is cool ... but i still want to be able
    to send armies from my nonorbiting unmoveable homeplanet to another nonorbiting unmoveable planet and we have seen that building teleporters in those systems and holding them is nigh on impossible unless you have the fabbers and eco to build it up and activate it sending your troops through it in a couple seconds second ...
    generaly what i personaly want out of the game is that teching up shall be an option not a straight necessity ... but this is currently not the case in most matches i saw and see ...
