After buying the cosmos edition, i wanted to support the game but after Titanfall collectors statue feel ripped off. any one else feel like this? i want that poster in the background of the last live update gamma tho.
So basically you value "useless" material add-ons made with millions upon millions of dollars over usable game stuff and directly supporting a game that would simply NOT be possible without it's fans? For me, I get way more value out of PA's add-ons than I ever would out of a fancy statue. Especially seeing as I can make my own damn statues when ever I want; And mine are posable! xD Mike
look game is fun my friend says it inorganic robots fight each other and no empire earth feel unreliable look i see both sides
I feel like statues are a waste. It feels fake. And it is, to some degree. There's already lots of great artwork in the games themselves why do you need a big bulky one that probably doesn't look as good? I think Halo is the model for how these preorder bonuses should be done, at least until Halo Reach jumped on the lazy statue bandwagon. The original Halo 2 LE wasn't much, it was a really banging aluminium case and a bonus DVD. The DVD adds real content, and the case is substantial and thus awesome. Halo 3 and Reach LE's both added physical hardcover books, Halsey's Journal in particular being a beautiful work of book binding. And it adds some substantial lore, and is an excellent read. It's not a fake statue, it's a real book, and more substantial than most books you can buy in a bookstore. Black Ops 2 I think was the one that added an RC car to its highest tier, which is absolutely bonkers, but it's a real RC car, not a statue of one.
I get something like titanfall statue might be big and just a dust collector. Isn't there like 12 commanders and whats mini to them 3in tall or 6in? Posters maybe all 12 instead of the 3. Just a question of cosmos edition worth money bang for your buck. I don't play the game you get a in game belt and why digital art
Pay more if you want more, pay less if you want less or don't care. Whether it is worth the money is entirely your own opinion. EDIT: My own grammar hurt my eyes
Those are great, now i want more Lego. Few years back i got cheap used Lego mindstorm and hardest part of it is making actual mecanic device that does not fall apart. Programming it is breeze. Ps. Now i want to make my own commander.
I think I can speak for many when I say the reason I supported the game was because I wanted an epic and deep RTS, as the development continues I can see we are actually getting what we hoped for for the most part, I expect some highs and some lows as the process continues, but the bling was never why I committed to this project, its always about the game.
the good thing and bad thing about kickstarters is unfortunately the same thing. you don't always pay some set price, and not everyone will pay the same thing, and some people not doing research ahead will have wasted money when it turns out to be something deviant of their expectations. however, some people pay more, because they feel the game needs built, so all ulterior motives accounted, this really is worth the hundreds some people pledged to those some people. I was suprised with what the game is compared to my expectations, and feel I got more than expected. But not everything is plus. Some pledged for things getting less work, others got things not planned in features. Like the devs say, there is no sure way of promising features or scheduled release, but hopefully the game, plus or minus, is worth it in time consumption, interest, and enjoyment.
double post, but short answer, is i pledgef 140 i think. i ferl like i got a 60 dollar game, 40 dollars worth of dlc and patch support, a very latent partial moderatorship, and some merchendise like tshirts and limited edition box set. all that totaled is my arguement the value was alright. I will be honest, I spent about the same on Super Monday Night Combat, and while there the overall value was terrible as far as the actual worth attached, it was still worth every penny to me. I got posters and a figurine and unique cosmetic skins even though I rarely play and not many people do, but those to me are personal antiquities, which is why you don't see me advertising "have gear will trade for TF2 keys" (which I haven't played tf2 on anything but Xbox)
