With every update comes its bugs... and I guess it might be all the new players playing at once, but most of the time (unless I get lucky) I am presented with "Failed to connect, returning to main menu" or something.
I'd imagine the Uber servers are just being overloaded from the flux of AWESOME and ANNIHILATION from all the new people buying the game at the discounted $30 price. They're probably working on getting the servers a little bit more optimized as we speak.
