Orchestral Music

That's kind of exactly what it means. That the sound isn't as good as it could be if It were live. You can obviously enjoy the music separately from the sound but it simply is not as good.

*I stand corrected on the SupCom score, that one was indeed a well-done synth. He has done other orchestral scores though.

It is a subjective thing. Your opinion of what constitutes tonality and articulation is different from others' because you've been subjected to different forms and rules of it. Not everyone interprets music by it's tonality, has background in voicing, or recognizes music taboos (like parallel 5th movements) etc etc etc, and they don't need to, to get it. Philip Glass would tell you that tonality isn't what's important, right? Why? Because it's his opinion. Don't forget that Uber has a budget. This is why we can't have nice things. I do hope that the live orchestral piece they're working on now will have more consistency, and a more fitting mood though. In fact, I hope for something more slow and progressive just like what you would hear from Philip Glass. The current ST doesn't fit well to me.

They Said a Long time aso, that they are working on it and they had some music in a trailer, so I think they are holding this back, like other secret stuff...

Those words mean specific things, it's not subjective. Atonality can work, but not for this music.

You are exactly correct. Tonality is just a system created to define music. That doesn't mean that's what music is though. It's just one very popular and widely used opinion. Subjective. No right or wrong really.

The definition of tonality isn't a matter of opinion, nor is it subjective. You can say that it isn't necessarily good for music, that is subjective. But that is clearly not what this music is going for.

The "Black Screen Test" featured some new menu music at 3:30 and 6:10, so I'd say new music today is highly likely.

They said it would be coming out sometime during gamma so it's today or "soon".

BMB If you still feel that way after hearing the live stuff I don't know what to tell you. Personally I think it's awesome. I do wonder how much the crap synth is causing you to not like the music. Then again not all music is for all people.

I just played a game on live with the music.

Even though I was there when it was recorded it was an awesome experience. If you don't like it and doesn't think it fits with the game then... I don't know what to say
