I think it's best to leave the word 'fire' out of the default tank's name, considering there is an actual flame tank new players may get confused with.

The whole *point* of air is that it does damage to heavily fortified areas, because ground units can't penetrate them.

I didn't say it was a good idea, just a drastic one. I wanted to point out that there a lot of things that can be tried that you might not expect. The problem you point out can be fixed in other ways, which would cause other problems, but even those could be fixed. Changing the balance makes it a whole different game. People don't like the balance, but don't seem want to have a different game.

Doing it at normal 5 minute mark is nothing exceptional imba abuse. But making it under 4 minutes is an art
