The setting is an alternate reality about WW2 era naval combat. There are also some very large ambitions (such as potentially taking it to mmo status if possible), but just like all large ambitions, funding is necessary and as such the kickstarter just launched. So check out the trailer on the kickstarter, and if that doesnt float your boat (punny eh? ;] ), definitely check back later as the developers seem to be open to ideas and community suggestions!
There are lots of things not done currently and may take a while to be implemented, but they are planning on a full naval combat simulation which includes submarines and aircraft carriers (wtih their respective planes). If anyone remembers battlestations: midway, it seems fairly similar.
