Theta Commander

It looks like this commander has a rocket pod arm

It's important to note that this is still based on the exact same skeleton rig as the Delta. Getting this to look as close to the concept as it is, without altering the rig was no easy task. We were all very happy with how this model turned out, personally.

I figured as much. I'm gonna miss those beautiful robot fists though.

Uber seem to be having some serious issues with commander heads lately- first the trash can mess that is the tracked commander's head, now this guy who's jaw makes him look less like a destroyer of armies and more like a dopey old man!
Damn it Uber why do you hurt me so?!

Personally I think it's the best looking commander so far and I wasn't really a fan of the concept. I think we need to reserve judgement until we see him in game on the chin- I doubt you'll actually see it, especially with it in light grey.

It's good that there's variety in the heads. If I liked every head then it's likely there's someone who would hate them all.

So do I as a winner of PA beta from livestream get my hands on theta?

I like the model, but not the jaw. It kinda moves it from "Big head, small eye -> cute" to "Hunchback with small head -> ugly".

I don't like the jaw, it looks Kind of ugly. But the rest of it is very nice.

I think I would use this guy a lot, if there wouldn't be the jaw.

Not a fan of the huge underbite jaw. It's too 'human' a feature and carries with it a lot of negative connotations; makes the Theta look like a stereotypical yokel.

Also it's disappointing that he's not got his own rig, but I called it months ago. Disappointing but not surprising, and he's lost a lot of personality due to that.

I think it actually looks quite intimidating... prefer it over the delta. It actually has some character to it.. might make me stop using the tank commander for a change, which by the way, I also love.
