Make air transports T1 again. There not that strong of a unit to make them T2.

    In of themselves they aren't.

But they create a lot of problems and pretty much break the game due to Commander Rushes and putting fabricators all over the place.

How about the uber cannon takes more energy to use and we move the Inferno to T2?

Take transports back to t1 then rebalance with the inability to transport com then introduce an adv. transport which can carry 3 units at once (whatever number really doesnt matter too much) or a com. This means that you can still do early game raids without a boring com rush.

I like the commander being restricted from using the air transport and shifting it back to t1, but mainly because i missed the opportunity to play with them when they were t1.

Inferno rushes. Best way to win (aside from Commander rush).

I think the best way to win is to convince your opponent(s) to self-destruct themselves.

They aren't advanced units. Especially when compared to the Vanguard.

Aside from transport hotdrops, they are most definitely not "advanced" material.

"Something is strong? Move it to advanced!" is not the answer to everything.

I really hope Uber can balance everything so transports can be moved back to basic. We'll see if Uber can pull that off.

I too am somewhat saddened to see transports unavailable at the early stages of a battle but am not sure what solution I'd like to see deployed to prevent the problems observed when they were available from basic air factories. For one I'd somewhat prefer seeing the commander be able to use all the same movement mechanics as your basic bot, barring resulting imbalances.

On the subject of multi-unit transports, Neutrino/Mavor more or less nixed that suggestion explaining that his experience has been that implementing that sort of mechanic would take an unreasonable amount of time considering the gameplay benefits involved. Couldn't quite find the post in question on short notice, if you'd care to look it's somewhere around the forums. :p

Seeing as how the area commands being worked on have the potential to make the management of loads of single-unit transports a cinch I don't mind too much, although the transports in SupCom are pretty cool.

Inferno to T2 is uweless since we have vanguard there, but removing inferno and buffing the T1 tank HP a bit so that they are generalis, but you then get 2 specialisation, now that's an idea.

What and transports are?? Infernos could be balanced at T2 just as easily as transports.

Anyway the whole Air layer needs major balance work as we all know. Luckily compared to bug fixing and major features ...Balance is just tweaking some numbers ;-) Maybe Uber could find away for the community to do the balance.....

We will have mods for that. The main unmodded game is Uber's baby though, so they get to balance it.

How is inferno rush even powerful?? You can kite dox around their puny range and crush them. Inferno is really only good for static defense

Did you not read my post?

    I said:

And letting the community balance the game would be a horrible idea.

We have some good ideas from time to time and helped Uber make some good changes and addition a - like the Flak cannon and Orbital.

But for the most part we're a bunch of idiots.
