Black screen on game start

I think this is pretty common with the new build, so it's worth having a topic on it.

I get into a game fine, but I get a black screen once the game has finished loading. I think this started with 61450 and not 61250.

F5 fixes it, but it's consistent.

I am experimenting with it. It has the feel that it is a result of "too many mods".
With all my mods I get it like 80% of the tests.
Without any mods 0%
With PA Stats 0%
With PA Stats + hotbuild2 I just got a black screen.
Testing continues....

I had the same thing with a multiplayer game, keep saying it's loading planets, but it does not matter how long you wait. I got no mods installed.

Poor testing on my part. "Floating Framework" and Blueprint Info Framework" MAY be a problem, but I think the real culprit was "Commander Health Display".

So, "Better System View" can cause it, and "Comm Health Display", in conjunction with "Floating Framework" and "Settings Manager" can cause it. I have no technical expertise here, but is it suspicious that both of these mods add an additional window to the screen? Just a thought."

Works with staticmenu, system manager, planet named themes, installed mod list, floating framework, favorite color, blueprint info framework, and enhanced system preview but not better system view.

Update:
Little mistake here unit database was not enabled but blueprint info framework.

Should've titled it better

Me and PRoeleert broke it down to the process of loading a css in a mod.
Even if the css is empty it creates black screens.
Without the css file I did like 20 tests by now, no issues.
The moment I add a single empty css file it blacks out.

I think I have a fix. Give me a few min to package it into a mod.

can you let us know in the patch notes or this thread when we wont need this Hack/Mod?

I will probably post about that somewhere in a reasonable place once it happens.

Well hopefully the Gamma release on Thursday will invalidate the need for this mod.

dunno, I don't know of any official statement of Uber. Who knows what the internal reason for this is.
