Apparently there is talk about a "holiday commander"

Also, when will I get the "theta" commander that I was meant to get for ordering beta?

Well that's not what I'd call a "holiday" commander but okay.

Thing is that commanders a ridiculously easy to create compared to other units, they might have higher fidelity compared to regular units but when you use existing Rigs and Existing Arms it gets a lot easier.

IMO it's a bit of a mis-step on Uber's part to not have anything to show for it at the time, and even now 2 months later thought.

Meh, in the grand scheme of things, Commander skins is at the bottom of my list of "things I want in this game NOW"

This is my take on the whole thing:

More commanders? Freaking Nice! I can hardly wait!

Essential to finishing the game or making more playable/more fun at this moment? Not really.

Just because it's easy to do doesn't mean that their going to hop on it right away. I mean, lets face it, going to the gym once a week is easy, but how many people actually do it?

Uber will get things done in their own time. Other wise we'll have 8 Coms and a still half finished game.

while I personally (and absolutely) agree with you, we can't judge someone else to whom having a cool commander would be important. and the fact remains that Uber promised the commanders as an incentive for early backer money.

me? I couldn't care less about what my commander looks like. really. when I'm bored and I'm waiting for that little light in the lobby to turn green, I click through the iddy biddy icons cause it's the only thing on the screen that works... but which one it stops on? I SO don't care. (are there any differences? seems like the one on tracks moves slower? that one had pathing problems on a game I played 2 days ago, but I donno if it was tricky terrain that any commander would have had problems with...)

edit: changed Uber to Uber - seems like the thing to do since everybody else does it, though I don't know why...

To clarify, I'm not concerned about when it makes it into the game, I'm more concerned that Uber has nothing to show for it, not even a concept like with the Theta/Progenitor.

Of course, I'm not judging, I'm just trying to point out that there are more important things Uber could be doing at the moment.
And yes, it was promised, but I don't think a time was set? So, as always, as long as they deliver eventually, you shouldn't let yourself get too worked up (not that the OP is).

OK fine. I get it. I saw that post on PA news LAST NIGHT, which suddenly reminded me... where is le commander?
After making this thread, I saw an AI with a "tank class commander"; I'll have to check it out

It's now 8 months since the Holiday sale ended...

I've yet to see any word on the Holiday Commader for those of us who bought the game during the sale.

The commander is already done, all Uber has to do is enable it like they did for Calyx.
