Yes, it makes sense, but it isn't fun at all because it makes the game a tech war. Oh, you have 200 doxes? Oh well, I'll just unleash my 40 slammers upon them and kill them all. Never mind the fact that I'm not making doxes anymore. Invalidating tech trees are bad. Very bad. Kill them with KEWs.

Why would your opponent have 200 doxes if you have 40 slammers? That's basically means you just outplayed your opponent. You don't just magically pull those 40 slammers out of your pockets.

Hehehe, beta. The roster isn't even remotely full of the most important stuff.

Histericlese isn't even a word. The name changes are getting ridiculous.

I'm now calling it an Pounder histericlese ant titanium insect. Fatty for short.

It doesn't fit with the "lore".

The reasoning gameplay wise is very simple.

In Supcom, you can make a balanced army using only t1 units. Every unit fulfils a role.

In PA, this is not the case. If you want a transport unit, you have to build the advanced factory. If you want long range units, you have to build the advanced factory. If you want a damage-magnet bot, you have to build the Slammer. And so on.

Currently PA is an ugly mix between "T2 is the next era of technology, making t1 obsolete" and "T2 is needed to flesh out your t1 armies with specialised units"

Taffi is what I call it when I have good feelings towards it.

You could call them PHATI but I think that might give them self-image problems.

Glad this thread stayed on topic...

IDK, I don't see "It's beta" as an excuse to implement more and more of the system you are actively saying you are going to avoid. Eventually they are just going to say "so much work to change the models" And then leave it at that. It needs to be decided on before filling out the unit roster... not after. Going forward blind under the guise of BETA is just asking to waste time in this case.

Implement what you are going to do. Don't change everything after you have already added it.

    It is still on topic.

The confusion about the name is directly related to the confusion about whether or not basic and specialised or basic and better.
