After losing a intense game in guardians of middle earth i began to feel what i had in the beginning of the game again, the rush of losing. Losing felt great because winning all the time made the game to the point where i could only play 3 games and then i felt like someone had put sleeping pills in my drink prior to the games.
So i thought why not try and see if i could bring back the same thing in MNC. I know people think 1v1s dont matter and i feel the same way but since i didnt play this game in till after GB died out i focused on having superior aim, outplaying through map movement and overall mechanical skill to the point where if someone came around a corner even if i was at a considerable disadvantage i would be able to kill them or make sure they were fucked up at the end of it. Towards the start of the 2013 i progressively started to care less about if i messed up killing someone or trying to fix what i did wrong through self analysis and when the year was coming to a close i was simply playing the game to pass the time without caring if i did something wrong. Basically im trying to keep the spark of mnc that i still have by asking for someone to beat me in something i have always felt no one would be able to do beat me in, a assault 1v1. If i cant find no one or cant be beat ill probably end up deleting the game for good and put this entire community behind me. I would love to lose constantly and decisively to someone that has put in the effort and practiced hard on assault. I warn anyone who tries to play me that even though i hardly play the game i will try my hardest to win and the closer the game is the more ill buckle down and go for the win. I have done several 1v1s and i find my rules to be the most fair.

    Gunked Rules
    -I host first
-I need 10 kills to win
-You need to score 2 kills if you want the host the second game
-If 2 kills were not reached then i will not play you on your host
-If you do score 2 kills then we play out the game till i reach or you reach 10 kills
-If 2 kills were reached the 2nd game is played on your host
-If the second game is played out then we add up the kills from both games and whoever has more wins
2 kills might seem like a small amount but im done a few of them and it is actually hard for people to reach.

tl;dr 1v1 me bro. ill **** you up

I don't see why a not a third party hosts.

See the problem is when I get 2 kills I'll put 26-0 against anyone on my host.

The point is why must someone host. What's the problem with a neutral host. Or is that unfair to you?

The adding up the score thing seems ridiculously one sided. Why wouldnt you do a best out of 3? The first two games being played on each other's host and the last being a neutral host that both players agree on?

I dont get how adding up the score is one sided. The advantage i had over the player is given to them the second game and we would simply be adding up the kills for both players from each game. And i would rather argue with a rock than have to try to come to an agreement with people like scratchy.

It just doesn't seem like an actual 1v1. idk I feel like 1v1s should be judged upon the results of individual games which would be winning an losing. I mean this scenario just seems retarded and not honorable. Let's say you beat someone on your host 10-5. But then you play the other person's host and lose 10-6 you still win the match even though you just lost. IMO I feel like your rules would just encourage cowardly gameplay instead of an intense match of gunskill and map placement.

Technically the whole thing is retarded and not honorable. You could just get a kill and sit in spawn if you wanted.

which is why I'm not gonna bother till I see at least one decent gameplay of a 1v1. I've done a few back in the day and they just aren't fun, nor do they prove who plays the game better. There's no map or mode designed for head to head play, and people will absolutely resort to the map itself as an advantage. I've seen it all.. players who end up camping bots or turrets for the hopes of letting their shields regenerate while the enemy's health stays down from bots. Stalemate games where 5 minutes pass before the other player hits puberty enough to come out past mid map or even off their ring.

If this game had anyway of embracing real 1v1's, I'd be down. I'd probably play them often, but this just isn't a game that offers a high level of fair 1v1. I've always tried my best to play mid map only and not resort to having to hide or let bots help but it can't be prevented 100% of the time. That's with me putting effort into trying to make the game "fair".

You seem like the kinda guy who would utilize all of these things, combined with this unorthodox challenge set up, and it just seems like it wouldn't be worth it.

If you were playing a mirror image of yourself the only way the reflection could win is with a headcrab. Bombs don't blow up on time, dash doesn't register, bullet registration for the opponent is merciless.

So basically I'm totally down for a rematch ;)

I would like to see Scratchy v Gunked. It would be HILARIOUS. Who will disconnect first? (They had the two highest totals for "most likely to disconnect" in the recent Ubies)

I'll 1v1 anyone. Message me up next time I'm on; I've been on A LOT less often however. I know they don't prove ****-- especially in class-based games, but I'm down. Oh yeah, and I believe that neutral hosts are only fair.

I know, it must be so hard for you to find time to get beaten by all those pesky average players. Rage quitting before you start is always a better option because you know that in a fight between the guys whose ISP's are soup cans and strings it would come down to skill - and you would get wrecked.

Oh wait, I forgot you got new internet - did they upgrade you to a 24oz can of Campbell's Chunky now?

Why spell "about" wrong and then retract it.
