I will probably get it in April as a birthday present from someone. Whether it's PC or X360, depends on the amount of features missing from the X360. I still like the option of console games because if its bad or I get bored with it, I can always resell it.
I always thought a game with mechs and a bit of open ended gamemodes would be cool. A lot of them hit development at the same time too. Generally, Titanfall will be considered. I didn't think it was on 360, I will probably choose that as higher end games don't cooperate with my computer and it is a shooter.

I already have Hawken for my mech obsessive fix. Titanfall looks interesting but I don't feel it has an interesting enough aesthetic for me
See, like that. Anyway, some people like formal looking ones and some people like farfetched looking ones. Anyway, Bday is 03/04, might consider cashing in on that code. Then again, I have a lot of games on my plate, never get use out of any games if I expect to play them amidst 4 other ones, I occupy a lot of my time with a game if I play one and 4 of them occupy a lot of time. I don't play 10 of them lightly, I always play intensively if I play a game at all.
Well, after playing the beta/demo I caved in and pre-ordered it on PC. I have to say, I was quite surprised at the low PC requirements, then again, it is built on the Source Engine.
I played Titanfall. It was like Call of Duty but exceptionally more boring. Edit: Wtf is with this moderator approval? Christ, I thought this was a forum.

I played the demo and it was awesome. Although it's not a completely new idea, it executes these mixed ideas well. As far as console goes, people always talk about the "halo killer", but in this case, I call the game a CoD killer. CoD was fun playing with a bunch of real life friends all in the same room, but not a game I enjoy by myself. I can see titanfall being similar except that it does allow for slightly more individual skill. I'm not aware of many recent FPS games on PC that are considered revolutionary or exceptionally skill based. On console, one can argue that this is a "revolutionary" game (that's a bit of a stretch for experienced FPS players) and will offer more of a skill gap than CoD. I think it's a step in the right direction, although it's sort of a cop out. We got a couple great WW2 games, the whole market is flooded with WW2 games. We get modern warfare, and that's pushed down our throats every year becoming more and more modern. The only way we broke past modern warfare was by becoming the MOST MODERNEST warfare by adding advanced movement options and titans, or mechs, that offer an opposite to CoD's twitch aiming/reaction time style gameplay.
It DEFINITELY looks Source though. I approve though, too many Xbox One and PS4 games seem built on visual flair instead of actual gameplay *cough* Ryse *cough cough* Knack. I might have to cave and buy it too .-. I haven't gotten a new PC game in so long, but at £30 (with a discount code) I gotta know if there's enough content in it.
Well, it's on Origin, and it would make EA money... So no, probably not unless I got a free key or a huge discount.
Didn't get swept away by the beta eh? I could see that logic with a particular studio, but with one of the big publishers? I see this as a case of voting with my wallet. I vote to support this game and show EA this is the kind of game they should be letting their studios make.
Didn't get a chance to play it. EA can rest assured that the probability of me buying the new Battlefront is somewhere between 99-100%
I played the beta. Its such a fast paced crazy awesome game! I love the dynamics and I probably will be getting it. Its going to be the game that really brings me back to play fps's. (my hopes at least) The only thing I dislike at all is the smart pistol, really don't like a gun that does the aiming for you. Or else I had a good experience with the game.
Ah, sorry that beta code I sent you didn't make it in time then. Yeah, that was the one weapon that ticked me off. Watching it on the kill cam it let the enemy get some BS kills on me. But most of the time they were assassination type kills, sneaking up on me. Aside from the few head to head fights where they just held out for the lockon long enough to kill me. But at least the range is limited, and it hasn't proved to be overwhelmingly broken, but the release will show the numbers, and I'm sure tweaking may be done then. It is very effective in midair titan eject firefights.
I thought it was amazing. I hadn't woken up and gone straight to my Xbox to play something in yeeaars. I'll initially get it for Xbox One since I already have a friend to play with there, and pick it up for PC for the shininess whenever the price drops a bit.
