Putting a unit into a different factory isn't arbitrary.

But the reasons for doing so (Very fast expanding) are a tad dubious considering the air fabs.

We moved a aircraft from one air factory to another. Don't try to confuse the issue.

That's from the dev's mouth, so until proven wrong it IS the reason.

Avoiding a joke here but, your example was flawed.

Saying no doesn't change their reasoning:

How is that alleged? It's right there from a dev.

That is the reason provided and we have no reason to believe that they are misleading to us?

Mate you're just conspiracy thinking here.

It's clear they wanted us to change our minds about the uber cannon and work with it before we called it OP.
Uber then discovered that T1 transports wrecked their ideas of gameplay progression.

It's beta, the very purpose of beta is that you can *ACT* rather than kick theoretical models around. They could've said "we think it breaks the game so we just don't do it" or they could've added it in and actually seen how it goes, so they *KNOW* rather than *THINK* it doesn't work.

Uber isn't immune to "check your premises", premises sometimes have to be checked.

I still refuse to believe the Planetside 2 devs havent been flat out lying and withholding information from their community for a year and a half now.

But the reasons you stated were plenty. It was logical and, though it might not be the BEST solution according to some, it certainly WORKS. It un-breaks the game.

I just finished watching your latest stream with Zaphod and Meta - the punny one.....

Glad to see you are looking at air balance. Finally. I'd also like to see a t2 flak unit - but thats just me.

Tired of the *OH CRAP HE HAS T2 AIR TURRRRRRTLE with FLAAAAK*

    Just sayin' :D

That and the fact that going 100% air is a viable winning strategy in single planet systems.
I just don't get how that should make any sense.

I was talking to matizpl earlier after he beat me again with T2 air (sigh). He said he was gonna try a full air start - no land facs - and see if he could start pulling wins. Bombers are pretty powerful now in both tiers, and if you can get t2 air up before your enemy can get up flak, it's over.

Air should be for recon and sneak attacks, not for wiping EVERYTHING OFF THE MAP.

I know it works that way in real life, but we are aiming for AWESOME here people.

You know how that makes sense? Because...

BALANCE ISN'T DONE. It's NOT final.

    That's how. ;)

Air is OP, but I think this is ok in the long run (although slightly less OP than it is now). I say this because when multi-planet becomes really viable, they are stuck on one planet (I'd like it to stay that way). Naval teleporters would be ridiculous, my wishlist is either do it anyway or make naval as OP as air. In the name of balance of course :p

o_O If any thing should be OP, it should be land and naval units, as aircraft can pick and choose it's battles.

Yea well that's what's great about beta. Think something works nice? try it. Not sure if it'll work nice? try it. Think it breaks the game? try it.

    Don't like it? revert it.

In stead of going 50 rounds of who's (more) right, you implement it and play it. That's why Beta is so awesome.
