It hangs on loading mod likes and I can't install or update anything.

Is it not installing mods at all or are you just not seeing the "install" button change to "reinstall"?

    *Edit*
I just confirmed that it isn't letting you install until after the likes download.

Actually no. I took another look at it and I think it is working as intended. When you click to install a new mod, you can see it show up on the installed mods list. I'm thinking the only problem is just the "install" button not changing to "reinstall"

Does it actually hang, or just take a while? It has to download the forum page for each and every mod (so inefficient, I know, but there's no API to get the like count directly), then parse it, so it can take a while even on a fast connection.

I think I need to add an option to turn off like counting.

turning off like counts would be nice, but there are other ways to do it too. A server running somewhere that crawls through the forum posts and keeps a count wouldn't update as fast as your way of doing it, but it would download the list a lot faster.

I left it open for a good 30 minutes and nothing happened.

Tried again and it loaded this time. Tbh I don't want the mod likes thing at all, it always took a long time to load anyway.

For reference (mostly for myself), the new scenes are:
    • live_game_hover
    • live_game_econ

@raevn there are a couple of mods that aren't relevant to this latest build anymore.
Are you ok with creating new folder on github where they are stored for reference and not linked in the modlist.json anymore for installing. (ex: line building powerplants / tank commander ...)

The whole point of git is that it keeps history. Do you want them to still be downloadable, but not in the main UI list?

True but these are zip files so are binary files. They have not much history in it.
Yeah just a place with some old mods for reference that could be handy for somebody wanting to do a similar thing to look at.

True, diffs wouldn't be useful, but the files are still there.

Having a dedicated folder for outdated mods would make the easier to find, however.

And while we're at it we should move all the mods from the old system over there too. I don't think anyone's using those anymore.

Yeah I would say only those that haven't got newer versions in new system.

So all PA Modders agree with following :

    new folder: old_mods_for_reference
move tankcommander / circletoline from user_mods to new folder
    copy buildkeys_v1 / cleangamelist_v1 / hideplayers_v1 / pa-tournaments / rUnitInfo / selection_preview_v1 to new folder.
All other old mods have newer versions ...

@raevn are people still using old pamm ? if not we could remove mods folder as well.

    Old mods moved.
Only thing to do is remove the mods folder / modlist.ini . Waiting on @raevn to decide if we can do this already.
People should really have moved from PAMM 2 to PAMM3 already...

The ones that haven't will complain here that it doesn't work anymore and find the new version. :)

Yeah I hope no-one is still using the old one, it's been a while ;)
    Go for it!
