I am going to holding a idea creation and Q&A meeting in an hour if anyone wants to attend. 192.241.141.184 is the info to the Teamspeak we will be using. Come in anytime me and brianpurkiss are already there. this is PACE's TS hosted by SirTuxedo
No need for the complicated IP The new address should be teamspeak.paceleague.com as I have fixed the DNS for you guys <3
I'm just gonna step in and say yes. My impression so far is that questions are always welcomed by those involved with PACE. And I'd say that's especially the case in a thread called "ideas and Q&A". Gandalf shall smite me for being incorrect.
xD then I'll go for it, I don't know if I left from the IRC to soon or something but I do not know what is happening next or what happened before the tourney started, what was the phantom round anyway? Moving on from that though, What happens next? I was able to get 8 points in the tournament which means I move onto the invitationals? when is that? and I see the next tourney is an open, so if I join that but get less then 8 points am I out of the invitationals? also how is the reward system currently working? was the $20 that was sponsored this round go to the person who got 10 points? or is it being saved towards the invitational winner? (I don't really mind I just am wondering how all this is working) Overall I loved this tournament and I am very glad I could take part in it. I look forward to it playing more in PACE
On the Phantom round, the general consensus at the moment(no final decision) is that it'll be used for pairing only, not for final scores. We are reworking the whole invitational thing. Approx. 18 people got 8 points, that's way too many to do(per tourney). So we are going to go back over what needs to happen for the invitational. As sson as we know, everyone else will know. Gandalf is Mr. Moneybags so I can't comment on how/where the funds went. Money for the tournaments will go to the winners, the invitational will have it's own separate pool as far as I know.
PACE stands for "Planetary Annihilation Competitions and Esports" It's a community led organization to facilitate PA tournaments.
Isn't the only reason there were so many people with 8 or more points because that includes the phantom round points in the final scores? Assuming my math is right, subtracting the phantom points from the final scores (http://imgur.com/pRANanQ) leaves only 10 people with 8 or more points.
That's still quite a few people and more than we thought would actually make it. As I said before we have to actually rework the whole "invitational" requirements so that it's clearer, fairer and easier.
