o_O We don't know their speed yet.

Besides,, we have air transports, front line factories, and teleporters for reinforcing forward armies.

Guess you've never played TA :p

We don't have confirmed multi-unit transports yet and teleporters are only useful when you've already been able to set up a front and moved the fabs over there. Same issue with front line factories.

Played lots of TA, but spider bots in this game don't have to be the same as in TA. We don't need multi-unit transports with the area commands for single-unit transports. Forward bases are hard to set up, but that's by design; sometimes you just lose your army and need to start over.

Honestly I don't believe that single unit transports will be that good...

Well I would prefer they included both multi-unit and single-unit.. the reason I'd like both would be because they could both be used in their own certain situations. But I don't want to stem off topic.. heh.

A valid point but this type of unit could be made into little strike forces and presumably would fly faster than a drop ship carrying a heavy tank. You'd send these units out and flank the enemy catching them by surprise with 10 - 20 of these guys. They'd each choose targets individually unless instructed otherwise like any unit destroying the army rim the inside out. Because of the slow speed of the tank/transport it makes that slightly more vulnerable. The end result is more powerful but you can't just land a drop ship in the middle of an enemy bot force. I'd imagine you'd have decently sized groups of these guys, send them flying over to the enemy at first a few would be shot down by AA but once they landed they'd start unleashing their gunship like weapons whilst inside and out of the enemy army causing disarray and confusion which means a longer lifetime. The less range is hardly a problem if they are used correctly. I actually thought of a thing with them, they're range could be slightly further when flying but their dps is halfed or something along those lines.

I like to see: close combat jumping bots.
they can jump few meters(80-100) automatically before attack. because this way you can improve the low attack range.

    Very fast speed
    High DPS
    Low HP

not a fan of jumping bots
as stated previously it kind of makes terrain features pointless if there are land units that can fly over them

Why it makes terrain pointless? No, it does not! You cant go everywhere with every unit. If that unit is fast, weak etc, why not?

Are you mad at air because it can fly everywhere? No! It just fills its niche.

Im for the jetpack units, only if they do that automaticly. We dont want any buttons or micro.

It didn't invalidate terrain in SupCom2.

I'd actually welcome a unit which doesn't jump, but can travel between planets. Make it weak like a dox, more expensive than a dox (like 3x or more), but doesn't require a unit cannon.

    @igncom1
Not at all. Allowing you to build dox from a unit cannon is a useless addition, 95% of people will build slammers, spinners and fabbers only. Travelling dox could be used to test the water before doing the orbital process, crude scouting, or disrupt an opponent locking down a planet before it's too late. There's a good chunk of time where the opponent has a small base and expanding mex for fabbers everywhere, a few dox here and there could disrupt the metal income significantly. Fodder for an invasion is also valid, there's less chance of the precious unit cannon cargo from being sniped if they are busy shooting down a hundred dox.
