    Just optimize what you can.

    I'd rather have good features i can play with no bug crashes hindering my beta testing experience

    Then a rushed update that I can barely play with others since they bug out or crash. It would be hard to test

    Much less hold the start of the largest tournament series in PA ever.

    I'll take a jelly donut too. Strawberry. Shouldn't take that much if you guys have the whole weekend ;)

    Hmm I liked the missile tower shooting at ground units, especailly against bots.
    I wonder if they now become somewhat absolete, as in supcom, as they are pretty useless against T2 and you can reach T2 pretty fast, I already don't use missile towers as AA defence in my base ... :)
    Oh well lets see if it gets some love as well, a bigger range more damager or reduced cost could make it worh it?


    Also I would have gone for 'grayed' icons over explored buildings (like supcom) instead of overcolored buildings. Commanders are suposed to be war machines , they store the last location of know buildings to their hard drive and are not supossed to zoom in and see what team a building belongs too. (or even where a building is, its so hard to see at the zoom levels I play and I often miss explored metal extractors/ early bases because they are to hard to notice at higher zoom levels)

    Also noticed the defence satelite is replaced by the orbital fighter in the orbital factory not sure if thats new or mentioned in the other playtests already.

    We've been living with alpha since day one. We all know what alpha/beta means now. Showing evidence of game improvements and having community playing with a new fresh build (despite all possible issues) seems to me the best option.

    Garat and metas live streams help so much with any patch itch I have so take your time. We could see from the stream yesterday that there is a little work needed. If there is something you want more people to test then send it out.

    Ok, that's interesting.

    Walls are very tough to take down using conventional weapons. But if you bring in a couple of fabbers and reclaim them (which acts on the metal cost and not HP, I presume), walls pop up like pop-corns when it's party time.

    Is it possible to release a small patch then? Like the new textures and and model for the gunships and if the next Ai build/version is ready but leave out the balance changes and new stuff until that is finished whenever its ready. :D

    Also to add to that list: the main thing holding back the release of the next build is performance, which has dropped even further.

    Not really. My performance has already dropped form being able to play on 8 planets (with considerable load up time) to hardly being able to play on 4-5 planets. Also lava planets are still a no go and with my old computer I'm already hitting single digits FPS way more often than some other people. I'm ok with waiting, especially if it means that I will get my performence back to what it was in the last patch (I can tell you: smashing earth with mercury, venus with phobos and mars with deimos was delicious).

    That would probably mean a lot of more work as they would have to separate what they have already dome on the main build with what they want to release.

    Lots of discussion on the AA tower balance.

    Icons for scouted buildings have been will be added.

    The Anchor swapped for the Avenger has been covered in previous Playtest recaps.

    Indeed, the new build has to be played to understand the incoming changes. Specially regarding the AA.

    I see the game going in the right direction, update after update. So I'm not worried about.

    Perhaps T1 AA turrets will need to be made slightly stronger. Hard to say before having tried them yet.

    Yeah, I think having 'stable' and 'experimental' branches would be nice (this is what people are hinting at regarding the new launcher, right?). Update the experimental one more often so people can play around with stuff and give feedback, and keep stable playable and less frequently updated.

    I would like a release this weekend, because I have big vacation starting this Friday and I will have alot of time. But only for 5 days, later on I must leave my pc and stable internet behind for a trip :<

    I think the AA turret's range should be increased from 100 to 150 or 200 and that would work.
