    Drifting icebergs in the water on arctic planets.

    Wildlife.. not overkill but here and there, sc2 style. Seagulls landing on top of your commander's head if you don't move him for a while. :)

    already done with SupCom 2, unit was called "the Cybranasaurus Rex". look it up. It didn't go down well, that's why I've been opposed to the PA sharkoctopus movement from the start.

    let's keep this thread about aesthetics, I like every other idea in here. just look up the CR, see how well it went.

    I was thinking of the concept art for ice planets. I think drifting glaciers would be the coolest thing EVER for ice planets to have. The galaciers shatter when impacting rounds hit them or to gun fire.

    I said mod - not suggesting UBER put hostile creeps in as part of the core game. Passive critters would be nice.

    The Lizardbot was a bot. A player controlled unit. Not an organic creep.

    Perhaps I wasn't being clear. I wasn't suggesting a Dinosaur Megabot. Just hostile NPC creeps. For a Mod.

    I would like to see foam waves on moving objects in the water, as well as reflections (which look really nice in that concept art). With options to turn them of if your machine can't handle it well, of course.

    Yeah I know that's graphics related, but it improves the environmental aesthetics, right?

    Everything that isn't directly necessary for gameplay is aesthetic and relies upon graphics :)

    I was thinking a little bit.

    For Ice planets, It would be really cool to have the gun fire and wrecks melt the snow and reveal either barron desert or whatever below it.

    Also, Ice bridges that form on the water that can be destroyed by weapons fire would be pretty cool to see/have.

    I also think Advanced Power planets should melt snow overtime, as well as flame tank and vanguard attacks

    That would be wonderful, actually. There's some minor tidal animation going on, but churning waves would be great to see in the wake of boats.

    Also, making the Sunfish bounce like a speedboat would be awesome.

    I think what would be great for Moon type planets is if they can have dust plumes when artillery fires or if planes crash land.


    For tropical planets, I think it would be great if there was Corona scattered on the beaches and trees that sway.

    There is quite a few things that I think would be cool for Uber to have in the base graphics. Not sure what the final result may be.

    Another idea:

    Units, especially commanders, should leave footprints/tracks (and dust clouds) behind. Only have them render when you can see them properly, to save performance. Actually, there could be some graphics options for this to turn them off or only enable them on commanders.

    Just saying it would be cool to see commanders leave huge footprints behind. And dust trails behind a moving army.

    Yes. That would be terrifying to scout a dust trail of an approaching army.

    And yes, I like the mini-swirls that they have in places now, it'd be awesome to see them on a large scale from space.

    Edit: GPU rendering FTW. I can't wait.

    I really think the swirls can really set the earth biome apart from the Tropical Biome. I notice a lot of texture based swirls but no real land swirls.
