How rare are online US server games to find? Spent an hour refreshing the game list to only keep finding EU games. Just bought the game and would like to know that I'm not the only one in the US that plans on playing.. :/
Juke - Shouldn't be too rare to find, though at 1PM on a weekday, I'd be surprised if there were a ton of games up and running in the US. Even on the East coast, as it's barely 4PM, may be a bit early yet. I've also noticed that when people think a build is coming (which there is not one coming today, folks!!), concurrence can often drop a bit while people wait eagerly for the new stuff.
Thanks for the quick reply. Was able to find 5 other awesome US players and played my first match. Even though the game was 2 hours long, I had a blast . Of coarse there is much room for improvements, overall game play seems to be in the right direction.
If you want to avoid long games, play on a single planet, or at most, a planet and a moon (so you can shoot nukes at it). As soon as you add a second planet that is not a moon in the game it usually ends in a stalemate (depending on availability of movable asteroids).
Just make your own game if this happens. Lots of people might be in the same situation. Go make a sandwhich while people join.
I expect there will be a new patch early/mid next week (yes, this is pure speculation on my part) which should pick numbers up drastically for a few days at least.
Surprisingly, after last patch, numbers remained really low, but I think that was because of the network performance hit. This next one should help that, so hopefully people will be on way more.
Can you join games whose hosts are using a different server than you've selected in the options menu?
