Is it worth converting my key to a Steam key at this point? So far I've just been playing directly through the PA launcher. Most of my games are on Steam, but I know in the past the Steam version had additional issues and lagged behind the version in the PA launcher. Is this still the case? Or is the Steam version recommended now?
It's up to you. You'll able to use non- Steam version of game even if you convert it to Steam. After you convert key to Steam your license at UberNet will be revoked, but when you run game though Steam your UberNet account will be linked with your Steam account and then you'll able to use launcher again.
Well I converted to steam right off the bat without thinking and i have no problems. EXCEPT that if you want to change your name in PA you have to change your steam name, because if you change your name on the website as soon as you log on with steam it will change your name to your steam name.
you should definitely stick with the PA launcher version, i started out with the steam version, having bought my copy straight from steam as that is where i heard of the game in the first place. unfortunately it was literally unplayable even on my high-end gaming dedicated PC... so i asked around, and was directed to the uber site where i could download the PA standalone launcher, apparently this version had much less issues running than the steam version and i found this to be true. yes there are still "issues" but it is BETA so that pretty much says it all. but in the end you are definitely much better off running the game from the stand alone launcher that is provided from your account at the uber site PS: can we haz some SERIOUS Optimization this next patch?????
Hi ... I converted my Kickstarter-Key to Steam. Now I can't use the PA Launcher. The error message is: "Your account is not authorized to play PA. Please enter your acces code." Enter my "new Steam-Key" doesn't work. --> Error message here: "Invalid code" What can i do??? Any advices?
Is your steam account linked to your ubernat account? 1) Restart your browser. It's important that you don't have any stale cookies. 2) Go to https://uberent.com/user/linkedsteamaccount 3) Log in with your UberNet credentials 4) Enter your Steam account information to link your UberNet account to your Steam account.
