    Hi everyone!

Okay, so I'll begin saying that I really enjoy turtling. I like to play on lava planets, and set up so I only have to defend 1 side, and create the Walls of Troy! I'm quite good at it actually....

But no many how many fighters I have patrolling my base, A stack of T2 Bombers can kill my Comm within 5 seconds.

Has anyone found a way to counter this?

    Thanks so much!

t2 static aa all around it with a bit of a buffer zone should work.

The new Flak Turrets will serve you well. Likely coming with the new patch.

Also, perhaps you're keeping your base too small. Try to expand more, so that to shot down incoming aircrafts before they could get too deep into your base.

The best way to counter t2 bombers is to have t1 or t2 fighters, as well as Flak cannons.

In fact, its the only way.

I see Flak turrets currently in the game. They are the red looking ones right?

I don't understand how they are considered T2. They are the exact same price as the other AA turrets. Are they not of similar quality?

They were just put in the game in the last patch, hence the placeholder art and first pass balancing. Basically you need to spam flak turrets all over your base in the mid-to-late game to avoid T2 bomber snipes. They will eat through any deathball of bombers in a second.. literally. :)

The flak cannons cannot fire at ground units, which is why they are T2 instead of another T1 unit

Internal play tests showed that just one of the new Flak Cannon can make small piece of a group of bombers in a matter of seconds. The game is still in beta, which means that things may change from patch to patch, before to be balanced.

With the new build the old good Missile Turret becomes AA only. Unless they will change it back, we will have only Laser Turrets against ground units.

The single best strategy, weather you are using fighters, basic or advanced, mobile AA or static AA, basic or advanced, is to spread out over a large area, and have a good system for detecting enemy forces.

By spreading out, especially with a good number of internal defenders, you make it much harder for T2 bombers to even find their target, all while addition attrition to any scouting force dispatched to find targets like your commander.

Then if they do find your commander, you will not only have a lot of space to safely move him, you will also posses a lot of intel about enemy forces attempting to breach your perimeter and thus will allow you to dispatch interceptors and Mobile AA to the incoming forces, allowing you to hopefully kill enough of them before they can even drop.
