    Hi there,

I make this post for a friend of mine who owns PA and is not able to play.

His system is Windows 7 64bit and he uses an Intel i5 650 with integrated HD graphics.

In the beginning he was not able to start the game at all, after I updated his drivers for the video, he is now able to start the game, enter the lobby and so forth, but when he is starting a game, black screen, nothing happens.

Is it because of his weak and old onboard Intel videocard? Is there maybe a way to get this game working till he is able to get a dedicated videocard?

Please let me know if you need anything like DXDiag...

I think the i5 650 uses the first generation of HD graphics... so my guess is, it is not supported right?

    Thank you

Yes first gen isn't supported. Performance isn't great but it can run on Intel HD 2000/3000

Task on bugtracker is here: PA#2834

I guess it's because Intel abandon graphics drivers updates for those iGPU, but anyway game will be barely playable on such slow graphics.

Nope, there is multiple problems with these cards: coherent crash on them and game itself crash too.
First can be fixed by using software mode (which is partially broken atm) and Ctrl+P to make it update.
Second it's something like Linux open source driver crash: PA#2803, but possible more parts of renderer cause crash here.

I guess on Linux this graphics card will able to run game, but again performance will be really poor.

Officially Uber only said about support for Intel HD4000 and newer, but game work fine on HD2000/3000.

Thx guys for the quick response... I thought I remembered something like 1st gen Intel not supported...
Well, he already knows that he needs to get a new videocard... was just looking if I can get him to play a bit now.

    Thanks for the help! :)
