I can't start a game, always comes with the Window saying this program caused an error in pa.exe. Down loaded new graphic drivers but that makes no difference, and tried downloading more newer ones still no go. Does it with 59607 same as it was doing it with 59549. Please help
Are you running game from Steam? If yes, did you try to use non-Steam version? https://store.uberent.com/Download/Install?titleId=4 I'm also recommend you try to run 32-bit non-Steam version (bin_x86/PA.exe). If nothing helps please check this how-to: http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/648814845443326834/ And then upload fresh log as well as crash dump, I'll ask devs to check what might be wrong.
No I am using a non-Steam version. I also got rid of PA and down loaded it again. I got it just now to almost work, I loaded a single planet system, the red dot changed to yellow, but no matter how much, I click to start the game, it stayed in that window. For some reason, the game just won't work on my PC with more than one planet. Not sure if it was suppose to change to green from yellow, but it stayed on yellow for a fair while, that is why I tried to start the game.
you should update your GPU driver to this... ATI Catalsyt 13.12 http://www2.ati.com/drivers/13-12_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql.exe Your DxDiag say's that your using the ATI drivers from june last year, they are too old and need updating to work with PA. Edit . fixed typo's
Link I posted before explain that: http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/648814845443326834/ Code: [23:15:16.798] INFO Dump written to C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\00518d2e-8cc6-4ef9-b30a-073ee9756d16.dmp [23:14:15.568] INFO Dump written to C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\a68636d5-4003-4c26-ae04-533c7dc9df77.dmp Actually you don't need to do that because both crash dump looks like uploaded successfully so developers should able to find them.
Also if your interested here is an updated driver for you Soundblaster X-fi soundcard.. X-Fi series driver 2.18.0015 11/7/2011. http://support.creative.com/downloads/download.aspx?nDownloadId=11735 Your current soundcard driver is dated the 7/7/2010
The new graphics drivers makes no difference. As for the X-Fi series driver 2.18.0015 11/7/2011, I can't find a download exactly for that. I have already downloaded Imesh and god knows what, after clicking download for the drivers. Late here, almost 3am. I have had no sleep for a fair while, so I am off to bed, feel very tired.
i was asleep when you replied.. this link is the download for the 2.18.0015 http://support.creative.com/downloads/download.aspx?nDownloadId=11735 at the bottom of this link's page is "Agree" "Disagree" links. Click "Agree" and it should download this file.... SBXF_PCDRV_XPVT_LB_2_18_0015.exe That exe is the updated soundblaster driver..
Max the Sound card drivers you found were incorrect, and couldn't find the device it was supporting. But I found the correct drivers, and now they are 12/2012
Ahh, sorry about the wrong link, Ok some other things to try. I noticed the onboard sound is still enabled. Maybe try setting that as default sound and see if the game loads properly, or disable onboard sound in bios if it's not being used as a second sound output. Having 2 audio playback devices maybe an issue, it's only a guess tho, i have seen instances where having no soundcard or speakers connected crashes the game.
