often when I build t2 naval, the ships start building in the wrong places and popping from land to factory. these ships are unusable to me. help?
Do you mean their green "nanolathing version" appear outside factory? I did seen this behavior in Meta stream but didn't think it's happen in current build. Going to check it now.
Build about 10 T2 factories and all work properly. It's not as easy to reproduce. Next time it's happen can you please make screenshot and also save system you playing on? If you play game on random two planets system you ca just exit to menu, go into editor and your system will appear here. Save it, then exit game. After restart you'll able to reconnect.
Also try even just setting a waypoint, I find if I make docks near the shore I have a 50/50 chance that the default exit is land, when the ship berths onto a small space of water on the shore it breaks sometimes. If you set a waypoint in the water, the next ship that isnt in progress since the waypoint placement will exit via the closest exit to the waypoint. So its better to set the waypoint before beginning production.
I seen that, possible create dedicate tast about that. T2 Naval factory have to check for more free space to "enable" exit. Currently it's looks looks like it's have same checks as vehicle factory. Still I placed about 15 T2 factories and can't get Leviathan displaced while building. Also guys can you please check this Leviathan bug and say if you seen it? PA#1734 There also other one which lack of reproduction: PA#2921
Sxx- I've noticed the OP bug. Happens with t1 as well. Think it could possibly be in a stream by ZaphodX too.
I'd seen same thing in Meta stream on larger planet too. Still it's not as easy to reproduce as I want.
Find interesting problem related to that. Ship might go though land when exit factory: PA#2945 There is video also: As you see drop into water looks very natural. I guess in some situation ship might actually stuck on land because of that. PS: Even on such small planet I'm not yet reproduced behavior with displaced leviathan, but I'm working on it.
