Lol, Spore was great, but it really is sad that as much as I hate EA, the game was great, and EA's stupid policy STILL held it back. They could have made soo much off of it or out of it, if they would have supported it's expansion instead of holding it to themselves to profiteer off of it.

Reganomics. If EA ever makes epic original games like that, they SERIOUSLY need to consider reganomics.

That is what I mean! These game companies are giants for a reason! C&C. Battlefield. Spore. SimCity. All these games are great and were fueled by the giant's budget to spend on it. However, in the end they had DRM that limited any files that could be added to the game, any chance to play it offline, and even made it difficult for PAYING CUSTOMERS to get in their own game.

If PA had that kind of budget and manpower, it would be great if all else left alone. However, if EA was in control, it would have that huge budget, and immediately be locked to SC2 online only mode forever, with encrypted files, and tons of design decisions to dumb it down like a "console port" or mimmick the competition.

It really is a shame that indie companies are limited in sheer power, while giant companies are limited by their own system of creative override and destroying the artform of making the game and then restricting it with tons of lockdowns. Indie companies struggle to make games, while giant companies easily make the game and then ruin it massively from "finish" to "store".

I really think that a lot of these smaller game companies.... Uber, valve....ex are starting to put big companies like EA, Nintendo... ex to the test. Meaning they just can't make game in a year, put it on the market and have tons of people buy it!!!!!

The're really going to have to start to put some though into what the people are asking for and what games there making.... not what fits there pockets!!!!!

My brother came to visit, so I introduced him to PA, and we also continue to play LoL. We also went out for food a fair amount. Additionally, I took him indoor skydiving at iFly for his birthday. We did that with the "kids" too.

    Can it be both?

Obviously I figured they wouldn't be jumping from the rafters of a rocket assembly building, but didn't know the exact mechanics :p

We got indoor bungie jumping at West Edmonton Mall but I've never even heard of indoor skydiving...

Isn't the whole point to be in the wide open blueness?

hmmm, might be fun though... I'd probably throw up though...

For a second, I thought that video title was "Point Defense Zoo" which immediately conjured up the image of different types of sad little point defenses kept in cages =(

You mean like a point defense turret for PA shooting sharks? I'm digging it.

I had such a lazy break - lots of sleeping which was pretty much the best present ever! I baked a bunch of cookies and went out to a couple of events. I got to wear my petticoat twice this holiday, so that was super fantastic! :p One of those times was going to see Abney Park on NYE. They're a former goth band turned steampunk and it was so much fun! Loved hanging around everyone in Victorian costume ^_^

Other than that - cleaning.... lots and lots of cleaning. I do "Spring Cleaning" at the end of the year and go through all my stuff.

'Tisn't dumb. Body and mind, both should be respected. That's sometimes difficult with hobbies like these, though... Dirty bulking or clean? ;)
